Even the professionals get punctures and this tyre was only replaced this morning from one puncture over the weekend and less than 4 hours later the brand new tyre had an unrepairable puncture. How’s that for luck? But this mobile tyre fitting vehicle is now back on the road again after a quick pit stop helping the good people of Leicestershire and Warwickshire with their tyre related issues.

❤️ It's not always about getting someone back on the road... sometimes it's about helping people get on with life.

We received an emergency call-out to Longford, Coventry, after a lady visiting her 94-year-old mum accidentally clipped an exposed brick wall while turning onto the driveway.

The impact tore the tyre on her Vauxhall Grandland X, leaving the vehicle stranded.
Her plan for the day was simple – help her mum with the shopping, collect a few essentials and tackle some jobs around the house. Suddenly, none of that looked possible.

Within 45 minutes, one of our technicians arrived, replaced the damaged tyre on the driveway and carried out a full safety check.

Not long afterwards they were on their way to the supermarket, and the day was back on track.

🚨 Pothole Blowout in Thurmaston... But There Was Still Time to Save the Day! 🚨
Friday afternoon, an important meeting in 10 minutes, and then... BANG!

A customer travelling through Thurmaston hit a pothole, causing an instant blowout on their Mercedes. The damaged 235/35R19 tyre wasn't repairable and needed replacing.

The problem was, they were due in a meeting in just 10 minutes.
Instead of panicking, we worked around their schedule.

The customer safely parked the vehicle, attended the meeting without the added stress of cancelling, and we arranged to meet them as soon as they had finished.

We replaced the damaged tyre quickly, carried out the necessary safety checks, and got them back on the road in time to make the journey home to Nottingham on a busy Friday afternoon.

The Dangerous Part of Your Tyres You Probably Never Look At...

When was the last time you checked the inside edge of your tyres?

Most people only ever look at the outside because that's all they can see.

Unfortunately, that's exactly why we regularly find tyres that are completely worn through on the inside, while the outside still looks perfectly legal.

Every week we attend customers across Leicester, Hinckley and Coventry who are shocked when we show them their tyres.

The most common causes include:
🔸 Wheel alignment that's slightly out.
🔸 Low tyre pressures.
🔸 Worn suspension components.
🔸 Extra vehicle weight, especially on electric vehicles.
🔸 Lots of motorway driving.

By the time vibration starts or the cords become visible, the tyre is already unsafe and needs replacing.

A quick safety check takes less than two minutes:
✔ Turn your steering wheel fully.
✔ Get down and inspect the inside shoulder of each front tyre.
✔ Run your hand across the tread (carefully) to feel for uneven wear.
✔ Look for any cords, exposed fabric or significantly lower tread on the inside.

If you're unsure, we'll happily check them while we're fitting tyres or carrying out a call-out.

A simple inspection today could prevent a blowout tomorrow.

One of the easiest ways is simply keeping them at the correcOne of the easiest ways is simply keeping them at the correc pressure.

Driving on underinflated tyres can mean:

Kerb damage is one of the biggest causes of unexpected tyrKerb damage is one of the biggest causes of unexpected tyr failures.

The problem is that sidewall damage isn't repairable.

Even if the tyre still holds air, the internal structure may already be weakened.

If you've clipped a kerb recently, it's worth having it checked.

We'll always tell you honestly whether it's safe to continue driving or whether replacement is the safest option.

Better a quick inspection today than a blowout tomorrow.
