This Mk7 Golf Estate came to us with heavy carbon build-up around its inlet valves—a common problem on direct-injection engines, as the fuel doesn’t pass over the back of the valves to keep them clean.

Using crushed walnut shell, we can carefully blast away those deposits without damaging the engine components.

The result? Cleaner inlet valves, improved airflow and the opportunity to restore lost performance and smoother running where carbon build-up is causing the problem.

This Audi RS3 8Y has been fitted with a RaceChip tuning box, offering app-adjustable driving modes and a removable alternative to conventional ECU tuning.

RaceChip’s quoted figures:
⚡ 450 HP — up from 400 HP
⚡ 545 Nm — up from 500 Nm

What a weekend at VW Festival! We are slowly working our way through editing all the photos to a high standard and will be releasing them in due course!🙌

A massive thank you to everyone who visited the Moorfield German Motors stand, chatted cars with us and took part in the Fanatec simulator challenge.

From immaculate show cars to some brilliantly unusual builds, there was plenty to keep us occupied all weekend.

We’ll definitely be back—but first, we have another VW weekend approaching… 👀

A little routine maintenance for this Audi RSQ3. 🔧

It came into MGM for its MOT and gearbox service—helping keep that five-cylinder performance running smoothly and ready for another year on the road.

What started as an engine problem ended up with the whole lot coming out of the car — and once we stripped it down, the damage inside was pretty serious.

Ricky talks us through what we found, shows some of the damaged internals and explains just how quickly an engine failure like this can turn into a very big job.

Not the nicest thing for an owner to see, but definitely an interesting one from the workshop!
