Sorry for the lack of updates this week, I have managed to photograph a couple of the cars but totally forgot to save the graphs 😬

A good variation of Renault, Vauxhall and BMW this week, one of the Astra VXRs managed over 450hp on a G25-550 with small housing

Three 200s on the dyno today including one that actually broke the 200 barrier for a change!

Or

B, Take the engine out of the G80 and put it in the G42 M240i, then go to pod......

The G42 is up and running on the stock engine and box combo with no issues!

Not bad on a concrete unprepared surface, so close to an 8 second pass!

It's evicted one of the boost clamps a couple of times so that's something we need to address but it's doing well on the Turbosmart 7675 VBand running 48psi of boost on e85R

Megane 265 in today for us to fit an intercooler and front splitter supplied by the customer.

It didn't quite go to plan when we got the car on the Dyno Dynamics because I noticed the idle was quite rough compared to normal and the manifold pressure was very high which usually indicates the timing is off.

The car made 266hp which is OK for stock but they usually make more when a turbo back system intake and cooler is fitted.

The customer had the timing done fairly recently but at a VW specialist so we suggested this was the first thing to check, upon stripping to a point where we can get the timing tools in we could clearly see the intake was well advanced and the exhaust re****ed, we had no chance of getting them in! Further stripping reveals red paint all over, Cross threaded m6 bolt in the middle cover at the front and a totally snapped bolt in the rear!

The 280hp graph is just from correcting the timing, lovely smooth idle and correct MAP.

This will feel like a different car now the timing is correct and it's tuned properly for the mods!

Awesome Megane 265 in today for a full genuine timing belt kit, dephaser, water pump, aux belt kit, coolant, oil and filter and a custom remap.

This one was fitted with a sports cat downpipe helping it make the strong numbers both stock and tuned.

RS Tuning custom tune with 3 power levels, tuned on tesco 99.

I've actually done a little testing on this one and have run it in a faster ramp rate on the Dyno Dynamics to simulate more of a road situation, this will help with boost control tuning as it's much more like they respond on the road. Spool is slower compared to the longer ramp but other than that it's pretty much the same!
