Initially having been the exclusive distributors for Faymonville in the UK, Rydam was instrumental in developing the now well established customer base that we have come to know and respect. Having since
passed over trailer sales duties to Traffco Ltd (www.traffco.co.uk) some years ago, we have now focused our attention to the core of our ethos - Providing good customer service! Being mechanical engineers at heart, it only makes sense that our primary concern be the supply of outstanding technical services - Hence our attention diverted to the work we do best - Repair and maintain. Where it matters most: The personal service - Each new Faymonville or Max trailer which passes through our workshop now gets the 'Rydam treatment', neither one the same - Personalisation and customisation of each trailer from off the factory line, to the customer's requirements is the secret to the Faymonville UK success. Rydam Universal was formed in 1986 by John and Jackie Green, named after their sons Ryan and Adam, as a contracted valeting, paint shop and transport supplier to Central Motor Auctions in Leeds but soon developed into a well established transport and vehicle recovery business over the following years. With well renowned expertise in the vehicle recovery and heavy winching sectors, Rydam Universal became known in the industry as the "go to" company to get the job done when no other can. Having been recovery contractors for Leeds City Council Transport Services for 15 years and having also run the West Yorkshire Police 'ROTA' Recovery scheme, our industry knowledge and expertise has been proven time after time. Combined with our well established links to european recovery and transport operators, the 'Universal' name really came to make more and more sense...
Day to day we still remain at the disposal of european transport companies, regularly repatriating damaged and broken-down commercial vehicles back to mainland Europe with the aid of our extensive and reliable UK recovery agent network. Now in our 30th year of operations, we look forward to our continued development of the Faymonville UK customer support service with the introduction of our purpose built service workshop and separate parts distribution warehouse.
