We were saddened to hear of the recent passing of John Hampshire at the age of 79 after a short illness.

John was a huge part of KTGreen for many decades and will be fondly remembered by the many customers and colleagues who had the pleasure of knowing and dealing with him.

He joined KTGreen in 1972 as General Manager when we were based in Shipley, and was instrumental in the transition to our current site on Leeds Road in 1984. He went on to manage our sister site, KTGreen Bradford from 1992 to 2000, before returning to Pool in Wharfedale and finally retiring in 2012 after an incredible 40 years of dedicated service.

John was also a great fan of motorsport and an accomplished rally co-driver. He competed on many rallies alongside Chris Green in their KTGreen-prepared MGA and MGCs, including an impressive eight International Pirelli Classic Marathons. He was also heavily involved with Ilkley Motor Club over the years helping to organise and marshal on events as well as being a Past Club President.
John leaves behind a wonderful legacy at KTGreen and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

Our thoughts are with his wife Maureen, his two sons Ian and James, and his grandchildren at this very sad time.
