🏁 Another Yamaha R6 Engine In for Refresh & Championship Tune

Over the years, we've won multiple championships with our Yamaha R6 engines, and this latest build is receiving the same attention to detail that has delivered race-winning performance time and time again.

🔧 Work completed so far:

✅ New pistons
✅ New big-end shells
✅ New main bearing shells
✅ New connecting rod bolts
✅ New oil pump
✅ New valves and valve stem oil seals
✅ Rear engine mount modified with a new spacer welded in place

🔜 Next up:
🔹 Cylinder head porting
🔹 Head skim
🔹 Valve seats to be recut next week
🔹 Thinner head gasket to increase compression ratio
🔹 Kent cams to be dialled in for optimum performance
🔹Flywheel removed

Built for the Pre-Injection Championship, this engine is being refreshed with reliability and outright performance in mind. All machining is carried out in-house using our mira valve seat machine and Carmec head surfacer, before final setup and tuning.

Multiple championships have been won with our Yamaha R6 engines, and we're looking forward to adding to that tally.

Kawasaki ZX-10R Öhlins Forks – Crash Damage Repair & Service

Another interesting suspension job completed at Race HQ.

These Kawasaki ZX-10R Öhlins forks arrived with significant crash damage, leaving the original fork assembly beyond economical repair. The customer sourced a donor set of forks and we rebuilt a complete serviceable pair using the best components from both sets.

GSX-R1000 L7 in with catastrophic engine failure.

Unfortunately, the crankshaft has snapped, causing extensive internal damage throughout the engine and destroying all the valves. Following inspection, the level of damage is such that repair is not economically viable, with replacement of the engine being the most cost-effective solution.

Sometimes the damage caused by a major internal failure simply outweighs the cost of rebuilding.

🏍️ 2025 Honda CBR600RR – Race Conversion Build 🏁

This 2025 Honda CBR600RR is currently in the workshop undergoing a full track conversion, transforming it from a road bike into a dedicated circuit machine.

Build specification includes:
🔧 ABS system removal and race brake system conversion
🔧 HEL Performance braided brake lines installation
🔧 Accossato radial master cylinder
🔧 PP Tuning rearsets fitted in race-shift configuration
🔧 Full Arrow exhaust system installation

Once the mechanical work is complete, the bike will be custom mapped on our Dynojet 250i dynamometer to optimise fuelling, ignition and throttle response for the new exhaust configuration. The aim is not only maximum performance, but smooth and predictable power delivery that allows the rider to get the most from the package on track.

Using our in-house Carmec cylinder head surfacing machine, we can accurately restore the gasket face to ensure a perfect sealing surface and maintain engine reliability and performance.

This Beta Xtrainer 300 came in for a full fork and shock service after some serious off-road abuse. As expected with hard enduro use, there were plenty of worn and damaged internal components that needed replacing.

Yamaha Tracer 900 GT in for a rear shock upgrade with a Nitron R1 shock with hydraulic preload adjustment.

A huge improvement over the standard setup with far better damping control, improved stability and a much more planted feel on the road — especially when riding hard or fully loaded for touring.

The Nitron shock was built and sprung to suit the rider for a custom setup and fully installed and set up in-house. 🔧

BMW F900R in for routine fork service. Lots of internal damage found that the rider was unaware of, probably caused by a previous crash.
