Day 1. Mojiko to Beppu via Mekari and Hiraodai limestone plateau. We also visited this wonderful Honda EZ90 Snow - a small 2-stroke fitted with a rear track and front ski instead of wheels. A lovely day’s riding. This tour’s mascot is Kitty-kun, the little fox.

From Yorkshire to Fukuoka in 24 hours. People often complain about the hassle and discomfort of international flights but it’s astonishing really. Covered about 10,000 miles in roughly 12 hours flying at over 600mph. Amazing.
Anyway, the autumn tour is about to start. The first bikes I saw on my arrival were these two cops. Not sure if that’s a good omen or not.

Japan makes the coolest wee bikes. Check out this 45-year-old RV50 Van Van. Small, chunky wheels and loads of attitude.

Wherever possible we like to deliver the bikes ourselves. It often means meeting the customer for the first time and gives us a chance to go through the bike with them. Tomorrow I’m on a jaunt to the West Country with two Cubs and a Zoomer.

2011 Honda C110 Pro as used by the Japanese post office. Based on the classic Cub with the semi-automatic gearbox and step-thru design but with features that make it more powerful and robust than a standard C90 and with greater carrying capacity.
