Job Description:
As a Workshop Service Advisor at HVR, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our busy workshop. This role requires excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and coordinate workshop diaries to ensure efficient workflow.
• Allocate jobs to technicians based on skill sets and availability.
• Organise and order necessary parts to ensure timely job completion.
• Act as the main point of contact between customers and the workshop, providing updates and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Prepare job estimates and ensure accurate invoicing.
• Monitor job progress, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Handle customer queries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
• Support the service team in achieving performance targets and KPIs.
• Maintain accurate records of jobs, parts, and customer communications.

Requirements:
• Previous experience as a Service Advisor in an automotive or similar workshop environment is essential.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of automotive parts and workshop processes.
• Proficiency in using service management software and basic IT tools.

What a day for staying in the dry, but every cloud has a silver lining so they say. here's the view from the office window earlier today. Our lights have been flickering but we are still on full power busy with MOT's and servicing.

Dare we say that Christmas is only 61 days away! Is your car due an MOT in the next month, or so? Book here now to avoid the Christmas last minute rush. You can book your MOT up to 1 month before it’s due (minus a day) so if it’s due on Christmas day you can book from the 26th November.

HVR (Hampshire Vehicle Repairs Ltd) we are based on the new Daedalus Park Industrial estate in Lee on the Solent opposite the airfield and the new Daedalus Village and have recently acquired a Defibulator which is attached to the side wall of Solent Airport MOTs at Unit 1 Illustrious. This is available for all/anyone to use should you need too (of course we hope you don’t need it, but just in case there’s an emergency do come and use it after all that’s what it’s for). We hope we can save a life if need be, as well as offering the usual servicing and Mot’s here to look after your cherished family car and keep it running, maybe we can help your loved one too. Premium fuel is not changing and is the safe option until you can confirm your vehicle is compatible with the new E10

E10 fuel is coming to the petrol pumps from September, increasing the amount of ethanol in the fuel from 5% to 10%. Check if your vehicle is compatible here https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-e10-petrol
