📉 Over the past few months we’ve experienced significant volatility in wholesale fuel markets, with prices moving sharply in both directions.

Many customers will remember our updates when wholesale prices were rising rapidly. Throughout that period, we remained committed to transparency and explained that our pricing is based on the latest delivered cost price, not simply what competitors are charging.

We’re therefore equally pleased to share good news when markets move in the opposite direction.

👉 When costs rise, we do our best to limit the impact.
👉 When costs fall, we pass those reductions on as quickly as possible.

⚠️ Fuel Price Update – A Heads Up for Next Week ⚠️

We wanted to give as much notice as possible to our customers…

Unfortunately, current market movements indicate a 6–8p per litre increase across both petrol and diesel is likely next week 📈

This isn’t news we ever like sharing. We’ve worked hard to bring prices down where we could, but this week has seen unwelcome increases return once again.

⛽ Our current prices (held until the change takes effect):
• Unleaded – 155.9 (150.9 with Nectar – 300 points)
• Diesel – 182.9 (177.9 with Nectar – 300 points)
• Supreme Unleaded – 175.9 (170.9 with Nectar – 300 points)
• Supreme Diesel – 199.9 (194.9 with Nectar – 300 points)

💡 Don’t forget — you can get 5p off per litre in exchange for 300 Nectar points (on up to 60 litres).

We won’t know our exact new prices until next week, but please be assured:
👉 We will keep prices as low as possible
👉 We will limit any increases wherever we can
👉 And we will bring prices back down quickly as soon as the market allows

⛽ Important Message on Fuel Prices & Staff Conduct

We know that recent fuel price increases — particularly on diesel — have been extremely frustrating.

We want to take a moment to explain what is happening, and also address something equally important.

📊 Why are prices rising so quickly?

Fuel prices in the UK are driven by the Global Platts benchmark — the wholesale market price that all retailers buy from.

As we discussed in our recent interview on LBC, this is not something individual petrol stations control. We are at the mercy of global markets.

Over the past few weeks:
• Wholesale costs have risen by around 50p per litre (excl. VAT)
• That’s roughly 60p per litre including VAT

These increases are unprecedented in both speed and scale.

🚛 Why prices change so quickly at the pump

Unlike supermarkets, we cannot stockpile fuel.
• We typically hold just 1–2 days of fuel stock
• New deliveries arrive at higher prices almost daily
• This means pump prices must adjust to reflect replacement cost

⚖️ What we are doing
• We have NOT passed on the full increase
• We price based on our actual cost — not competitors
• When costs fall, we are usually among the quickest locally to reduce prices
