The big day is finally here…. Last min preperations underway…. See you from 10am

Good evening everyone…. 1 more sleep to go !!!! We will be starting to set the venue up shortly but for now i want to give some more info and basic rules for tommorow.

NO ARRIVALS before 10am please….

POSTCODE. OX26 5DP

This will give all traders and helpers time to get everything ready as best as possible for when you all arrive.
You can come and go as and when you please through out the day its not a problem to leave when you like.

ALL VISITING TRAFFIC…. Launton is a 20mph zone. Please respect this. There are some people in the world (weirdly) that dont like cars so lets respect all local residents and the village when arriving and leaving. Thank you.

DISPLAY CARS ENTRANCE…. You will need to enter the site between the school and the parish hall and follow the drive down to the playing fields. Marshalls will be there guiding you and signs aswell. Keep the speed to a bare minimum as this is a public drive. Once you get to the field a marshall will welcome you and guide you to either pay or show your pass so have it ready if you have 1. Once on the field it is a VERY STRICT 5MPH speed limit , if this is not respected you will be asked to leave with no return.

VIEWING PUBLIC…. Public parking is in the field on the left just after ypu have gone over the bridge into the village. If you come from aylesbury end of the village its after the church on the right before the traffic lights. Marshalls will be there to direct you and park you up. This field is a farmers field for sheep so its bumpy and tree roots are exposed so YOU ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK. There is a strict 5 MPH speed limit in the car park, if this is not respected you will be asked to leave with no return.

DISABLED PARKING…. Unfortunatley we dont have the ideal situation for disabled access so the best we can offer for blue badge holders only is at the front of the public car park to limit your distance from the show OR if you would we can let you drop off at the show field but the car will still need parking in the public field. We are really sorry but we have no other option for this.

After all these rules and strict bits i just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has booked in and supported us so far i really hope you all have a good day.

If we find the field is getting full up and we need to start turning cars away dont worry if your a display pass holder you are guaranteed entrance. I hope this doesnt happen but it has been pretty busy with bookings coming in this week.

Just a few days away from the show and we had an important event to attend to 1st tonight…. The eldest sons prom…. He arrived in style in a national hotrod and travelled to the venue in an Anglia 105e, fingers crossed both cars can be seen on saturday at the show…

£5 in advance OR £10 on the day.

Remember its FREE ENTRANCE to members of public to attend and park in the public field, all we ask is a voluntary donation to our choosen charity.

I hope you have all been polishing and cleaning your pride and joy this weekend ready for saturday! Not long to go now! Tuesday night will be your final chance to book in to get your name in the show flyer as we got to get them printed in time for saturday. Advance bookings will be open until 10pm friday to take advantage of the cheaper entrance fee. Remember its, £5 in advance and £10 on the day to display your vehicle. Members of the public are FREE to enter and FREE parking in the public car park, all we ask is for a voluntary donation to Launton Sports and Social & Launton Playing Fields Association.
