Prancing Horse parts arrived onto the bench of destiny, request was Elite Black for the dry sump as opposed to eh flaking textured black, silver/black infill for the Ferrari logo and plenum crossover section finished in the matching silver. Some specific masking was noted for the butterfly valve which links the plenums. On the plenum intake side of things, this job was recommended to another powdercoat magician as we don’t carry out powdercoating at Kotec. More to follow on this small collab when the time comes. ….

Customer - We’ve had to make some modifications to a Skyline Inlet Manifold and we had to use some evasive tooling. Can you provide a Matte black textured coating to hide the surgery marks. We sure can ! This one’s called SuperGrip from CERAKOTE , a fine texture with all the best properties that CERAKOTE provides, standard colour is this matte black but coloured CERAKOTE can be applied over the top if matte black wasn’t to taste. More to follow on this soon.

Old Skool is the only way to travel. In this case it’s from a BMW E30 M3 with its intake plenum & Cam Cover. These 1986 parts are from a fresh restoration of this classic model. We had the strenuous task of bringing these two alloy parts back to a presentable condition keeping in mind the age and delicate nature of old corroded alloy surfaces. These parts were finished in Graphite Black CERAKOTE, with brushed raised sections and topped with a CERAKOTE clearcoat to stop the oxidation process occurring on the polished sections. More to follow …

A very special project arrived at Kotec HQ a few months back. A local Rally Preparation Team got in touch to chat about the restoration of parts from a special motor vehicle that’s currently undergoing a full nut & bolt restoration. The car in question is A genuine Prodrive Subaru Impreza GpA Rally Car that was driven by the main man himself, Mr Colin McRae & Derek Ringer on the notes. The customer had a very specific request in relation to colours trying to replicate the finish from circa 94/95 but with Modern surface finishes. Hopefully there will be more to follow on this journey, and folks always please remember. “If in doubt, flat out”

Just a quick one for the gram, An old friend from days gone by got a tasty Golf Gti with some fresh chrome Remus Exhaust Tips, a change to black was the request. What he didn’t know he was getting was the Cerakote Silver Remus Logo added back on to a fresh coat of Velvet Black CERAKOTE to complete the OE effect.
