🌟 3 passes in a week 🌟

Another wonderful pass today at Hamilton test centre for Sophie from Stonehouse who smashed her practical test with only 3 driver faults. From the start of her lessons, Sophie has shown great driving skills and this has translated into a wonderful pass today. Your instructor Jamie wishes you all the best on your journey as a full license holder!

That's 3 test passes for Jamie this week and he is buzzing for all of his newly qualified drivers. He hopes to bump into you all in your new vehicles soon!

Congratulations to Euan, better known as Shug, from Coalburn who passed his test this morning at wet Hamilton test centre. What a wonderful drive with only 2 driver faults! The examiner was very complimentary of your drive in tough conditions.

Further changes coming for driving test bookings!

🚨From 9 June, learner drivers will only be able to move their driving test to nearby test centres.

If you book a new test from this date, you will only be able to move your test to:

✅ any of the 3 centres nearest to where your test is booked

✅ the test centre you first booked at on that current booking

If you have an existing booking, the new rule will apply to where your test is booked at on 9 June – not where you first booked.

From Tuesday, your instructor will no longer be able to book your driving test for you.

This means that if you are planning on booking your test, communication with your instructor will be even more important as you will need to know their availability. Other tests or appointments may mean that they are unavailable to take you to test!

You can also only change your test twice now before you have to cancel and rebook. Hopefully, with these changes, everyone will be on the same page and that this makes more tests available for those who are ready.

From 12 May, only you as the learner driver will be able to book and manage your car driving test.

This means your driving instructor won’t be allowed to do this for you.

A superb first time pass this morning for Millie from Larkhall with ZERO driver faults at Hamilton test centre. What an amazing accomplishment! A big shout out to your family as well for helping you out with all the private practise in your car.
