The lights go down on another wonderful season at Moss Wood at 4pm today. It has been a rollercoaster of a year with lows and highs, from losing our founder Syd in the Spring to our Family Fun Day last month.

Thank you to everyone for making it a year to remember. We're already looking forward to seeing you all again in 2027!

The fishing pond at Moss Wood is now closed until the 2027 season - and we've got them protected to prevent the fish from being eaten by birds before then!

The storms of the last few days have brought down a few branches at Moss Wood - especially down the Woodland Walk. But aside from this there appears to have been no damage done around the park aside from some errant garden furniture - please claim it if you see yours where it shouldn't be!

Not long ago we shared some of our favourite sunset photos from around the park - we do get spectacular views here, especially in the autumn! Rosie was on a walk one evening this week and took these fantastic shots that she has kindly shared with us.

Take a look at some fantastic fungi in these phenomenal photos that Julie has kindly shared with us, with photos taken around Moss Wood. Fungi are fascinating and a vital part of our local ecosystem - and a really good indicator of how healthy our local wildlife is overall. These black ones here are known as dead man's fingers - a little grim! - but how many others here can you name?

As the nights are gradually starting to draw back in, the sunsets are coming in earlier bit by bit. We get absolutely stunning sunsets at Moss Wood - it's one of our favourite things to see especially in the Autumn and Winter.

Here are a couple of the best sunset pictures we've had at the park from the last few years. We'd love to see some of yours too!

We have had a beautiful Atlas Status on one of our show pitches at Moss Wood for a little while now. But we are delighted to announce that it has finally got a pitch ready and will be moving onto it very shortly!
