Instilled within us from a young age (from growing up on race circuits and tinkering in garages) is a passion for motorbikes and an inherited enthusiasm for old engineering. Starting up a Vincent Motorcycle. 👌😁
This is a 1950s Engine, fitted into an Egli frame.

The customer wanted to know what the pipes sounded like before paying for the pipes and taking the bike away. So this is a video of him, firing the bike up for the first time, since having the new set of big bore, Straight through Exhaust pipes made for it, by Raysons Exhausts in the UK. 🇬🇧

The header pipes are 2inch, 50mm, Sand bent and Nickel plated in a Black Lightning Style. 🔥

Making an Exhaust system for a 'James Cotswold' Scrambler, which is a British Motorcycle fitted with a Villiers Starmaker, Two Stroke Engine.

Which was a common engine, fitted to many British Scramblers of that era, including Brands like Cotton, Greeves and DMW. 😊👍

Bending Aluminium Tube by Hand!! 😁👍

Using the Sand bending Technique.

Where Dry sand is packed into the Tube to stop it from collapsing while being bent, with the help of a Gas torch to soften the material, allowing it to bend. 🔥

I really enjoyed getting to talk pipes with 💥Geoff Cain💥 and the lads from RACEFIT OFFICIAL

I got to meet loads of followers which I was totally suprised by, and i totally appreciate you all coming to say hello. Including a follower from Amsterdam, MOTOMANN Who won best bike in show.

It was great to meet you all.

I got to inspect lots of Exhaust systems... there were a fair few that looked like chair legs... 😬😬 but there was one Exhaust, which got the 'Raysons' vote for best exhaust system, and that was the Silver Kawasaki fitted with a Sand bent Titanium exhaust from K-Factory in Japan. (I helped them load up at the end of the day, so theres two photos of that bike)

And to finish the day off (well it was actually the start of the day, as he was leaving) i got to have a little chat with the main man himself, Guy martin!! 😲 Who i respectfully accosted as he was trying to leave, to give him a business card, and to have a quick chat about what I do, before shaking his hand and leaving him to get on with his day in peace.. (no selfies or autographs, as he didnt ask 😂👍)

All in all, a fantastic afternoon at Church. 🙏

SAND BENDING, EXHAUST TUBE 🔥
WITH RAYSONS EXHAUSTS 🇬🇧

In this video I will be sand bending an Exhaust Pipe for a Vincent Motorcycle, using 48mm, 1.6mm 304 Stainless steel Tubing.

Sand Bending, is a traditional method of Bending Thin walled tubing. The sand inside the pipe, prevents the it from collapsing while it is being bent, with a large Oxy/Propane torch, and lots of leverage and strength.
