Instilled within us from a young age (from growing up on race circuits and tinkering in garages) is a passion for motorbikes and an inherited enthusiasm for old engineering. Uh oh, he's been Brazing again!! 😂👍
This seemed like the perfect join to practice some more tig brazing. As with this type of join, from a silencer to a collar, the weld is usually blended in afterwards, which means if you mess up the weld, you can always buff it off. Which always seems a shame when you lay a nice bead. 😒

When youve not done it in a while, You totally forget how hard it is to put a motorcycle Wheel back in, on your own.. 😒 Its even harder when its a big drum brake wheel.. And the only reason I took it out, was so that I could get to the brackets on the back side of the Exhaust pipes. To make sure they were tacked in the correct places, before taking exhaust system off to weld it all up.. 😊👍

While you are all waiting for the TT Races to start....
Here is another bike raced by John Mcguiness and Steve Parrish, at the Goodwood revival event.
A long stroke Manx Norton, that came in to have a quick front pipe made, to match up with an existing silencer, needed so that the bike can compete at the upcoming 'Bob Mac' Classic Races in Scotland. 😁👍
