The importance of "peep and creep".

I was driving my learner to the practice area when this car rolled out of a driveway far too fast, the video makes things look further away but believe me this was very very close.

If there was an oncoming car, I wouldn't have the choice to swerve out of the way, if the driver had creeped out a tiny bit I'd have been able to adjust my speed and position or even stopped to allow the driver to go.

🚗🚗 important message sent to my learners.

Hi everyone,

I'm taking part in a new course called the Diploma for Teaching the Introduction to Driving Education Award, Level 8. The course will be quite intensive, running throughout most of July and August, so I'll need to adjust my diary to attend all of the sessions.

This qualification is an important step in furthering my professional development and enhancing my qualifications in instructor training. It will allow me to expand my knowledge, skills, and ability to deliver high-quality driver education. It will also support my plans to grow my business by offering training and development opportunities to those who wish to become driving instructors themselves.

To ensure we stay up to date with our important lessons and commitments, I will be working some evenings and weekends during this period.

I would like to thank you in advance for your support, understanding, and flexibility while I complete this training.

This rule change has given us new powers to take direct action against those who misuse the booking service. And we are using those powers to make things fairer for all learner drivers.

Yesterday while on a lesson we had a few of these cars behind us, "Brum" came to my mind 😅...I've screen recorded someones video, hope they don't mind. They are Fords which is amazing since we were in front with a 2024 (74 plate) Ford and these may go back perhaps to the early 1920's so basically 100 years of a difference 😳😳 absolutely amazing. Small roads for small cars...they'd have felt right at home in Lanark.

I think it looks good, I really hope its not vandalised though, we've not had an upgrade in the bus stands for years and years. 👌

Fantastic explanation of why NOT to exit a junction when a vehicle is turning into the junction, definitely do not go if you can't see if there's anything overtaking, its simple.
