Another Kia/Hyundai 1.7crdi Timing chain, was extremely noisy on idle, runs absolutely amazing now. 👏 as you can see I've clean the engine best I could ensuring there is no sludge remaing in there. This sludge is known for killing the turbos on these engines!

Here's a quick one from this afternoon.

Back story on this went to a large National repair garage, they diagnosed it as timing chain, cam sensor or crank sensor. As seen in their report. The customer had another mechanic out to it on friday who was unable to fix it or diagnose it.

It was with me for under 2 hours and fixed, no parts required. egr valve was stuck, I managed to free it off and made sure it was operational and popped it back together and the car is now running perfectly.

A job from last week, this VW Passat GTE was dropped off as a non runner. The engine wouldn't start and there was no communications with the dsg gearbox. Before I jumped into pulling the mechatronics out and sending it off for testing. I checked all the wires for any damage. I noticed some corrosions on the fabric tape going to the gearbox, and decided to inspect it further. After repairing the wire I tested the vehicle and result! Customer came to collect it the next day and definitely looked happy to see it back on the road!

This customer took his car for a MOT unfortunately it failed on his full LED headlights being misaligned, this was due to the adjustor being damaged due to a previous accident. He was quoted £1000+vat pound per LED light then fitting on top, they gave him a rough quote of £3000 given by a VW Specialist. At this price the customer was looking at selling his car as the cost of repairing it was more than the value of the car.

He then contacted me and asked if there was anything I could do to reduce the repair costs. I mentioned a couple of options and we decided to go down the route of replacing the full LED headlights with two new halogen headlights. After replacing the headlights, then proceeded to convert the wiring from 14pin to 10pin. Then finally changing the adaptions and clearing all the faults. The car has now passed its MOT and has 0 faults logged on the ECU and this cost the customer less than £500. I'm pleased to say the customer was amazed and over the moon!!

This Kia Sportage 1.7crdi, had a blocked Turbo oil return, causing oil to blow through the exhaust side of the turbo and bellowing smoke. It was caked in oil sludgy oil inside the engine. This is usually due to lack of servicing or incorrect oil. The Sump, oil pump, oil pick up cleaned, Turbo Cartridge replaced and rebuilt, oil feed pipe and two oil changing to engine every bit of sludge was removed to prevent this happening again. Also changed the drive belt on this as it was perishing. After 200miles the oil is spotless still.
