Job Title: Vehicle Technician / Motor Mechanic
Location: Knaresborough
Position: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £32,000 – £45,000 per annum (Depending on experience)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5:30 PM
We are a highly reputable and busy Independent Workshop looking for a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician to join our expanding team. Key Responsibilities
• Diagnostics & Repair: Conduct complex fault finding, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical repairs on a variety of makes and models.
• Servicing & Routine Maintenance: Perform vehicle health checks, safety inspections, and standard servicing to manufacturer guidelines.
• Component Replacement: Efficiently remove, overhaul, and install engine, suspension, braking, and drivetrain components.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards before vehicles are returned to customers.
• Documentation: Accurate logging of diagnostic findings and work completed on internal digital workshop systems.
What We Are Looking For
• Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent City & Guilds / IMI) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Experience: Proven experience working in a professional workshop environment
• Licence: A full, valid UK driving licence is essential.
• Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, and a pride in keeping a tidy workspace.
• Bonus Asset: An active MOT Smart Card / Tester qualification is highly advantageous (but not required).
