Following Sarah’s diagnosis of young-onset dementia last year, we’ve made the difficult decision to retire and close the business.

We will be closing at the end of April and Ian will complete the last couple of jobs left in the workshop.

One of our team is moving to a long-standing partner business as they expand into this area, but full details aren’t confirmed yet—we’ll share more if we can.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all our customers, friends and followers. We have really enjoyed the last 20 or so years but are now looking forward to enjoying our own classic vehicles and having some quality time.

Don't forget to head up to Kirkmichael for the Strathardle and Area Vintage Vehicle Club classic car run tomorrow, with the Milford Cup and Quaich for the best vehicles in pre- and post-war classes. They have a lovely run suggested for you. Meet at the village shop at 9.00. Bacon rolls will be available, too!

Two Austin Healeys, photobombed by an Austin 16/6! All are now back with their owners enjoying this lovely weather. The owner of the black Healey sent us a lovely email when he got home:
"I just wanted to say thank you to you and Ian for a great job on my car.
On the drive home to Aberdeen, and to the Brodie Castle show yesterday, it behaved perfectly.
The vibrations & harshness I mentioned have gone, the engine seems smoother, there is no sign of any pinking in any conditions, and a mild misfire at high cruising speed has gone. The steering is much better with barely any play giving a more relaxed drive with fewer corrections.
It has never run better and I am very happy with the work."

The sun shone on us all day on Mull. Our group had a great trip to the Ardalanish Isle of Mull Weavers. They explained all about weaving their wool into cloth, blankets and rugs, then gave us a (very noisy) demonstration. The looms were extremely old, and great pieces of engineering. We finished off with a visit to Duart Castle, home of clan MacLean.

The sun shone on us all day on Mull. Our group had a great trip to the Ardalanish Isle of Mull Weavers.
