Wee bit more of an interesting one:

Honda civic in Bishopbriggs.
Customer had a large recovery firm out to have a look as car wasn’t running right. They advised replacement of the spark plugs.

Customer phones me up & I head out and replace the plugs - fault still there. Car not idling right & wouldnt rev much. Oh no…..
Plug in diagnostics - misfire cylinder 1. Swapped coil packs - same, checked wiring - same.

Performed a cylinder Injector cut off test - Cylinder 1 nothing happened, 2,3 &4 vehicle tried to stall. So found the fault, cylinder 1 injector faulty.
Managed to get an aftermarket injector & saved the customer -£300 in this part alone.

Sometimes it’s the smaller local firms who will try help more rather than parts cannon something.

Really nice Skoda Octavia for an oil & filter replacement in Cumbernauld. OE spec oil used & all lights reset & book stamped.

Ford Eco sport for a full service - all filters replaced & spark plugs.
Quick check over for MOT found front pads were pretty low & handbrake a bit slack needing adjusted. All sorted & MOTd customer happy 😃.

Nissan Qashqai in Bishopbriggs needing two front wishbones replaced & a front link to get it through its MOT. All done at customers home & passed no problem👍

Had a Double trouble in Milton of Campsie - Hyundai Tucson with a broken front spring customer called me out to have a look & advised definitely not safe to drive. Very good idea was snapped kind of in the middle and would have fouled tyre.
Also a Chevrolet Spark with loud rumbling noise - diagnosed as a rear wheel bearing needing replaced.
Got both sorted & back on the road fairly quickly.
Few late night call outs there for regular customers, happy to help people out if they are stuck of course.

Couple wee jobs done recently.

Smart car for a service - oil & filter replaced, all lights reset & book stamped. All done at customers home saves the hassle of booking in & collecting. No mess & running great.

New Vauxhall corsa for a full service. All filters & spark plugs replaced curing a running fault the car had with juddering.
Rear brakes replaced & front pads all for the MOT which passed no issues. Quick check of the wet belt which was in good condition as customer keeps up with the servicing 👍.

Ford KA had a knocking noise on front. Slight play in lower ball joint. Customer decided to replace full arm. Quite a tricky one, front cross member arm had to be removed & bolts were very rusted. Got it sorted & cars ready for MOT now.

All go this week again:
Had a ford Kuga in Bishopbriggs for an alternator & battery all sorted now

Wee VW fox in springburn area for power steering pump & exhaust replaced. Managed to source some recon parts to save customer some money with this one.

Mercede B class in Milngavie for a service & check over which didn’t need anything good wee car. Customer very happy all done at their property & no hassles.

Mini in Milngavie with a broken front spring quite a bad break on that one good move getting sorted where it was.

Audi A1 in Bearsden with another broken front spring - also changed stut top & link (always advised as removing anyway)

Been a busy couple weeks thanks for everyone who enquired/ called me out:

Renault scenic for a strut top bearing & rear pads in Kirky which the dog kept me company for. (Sometimes I take him, not often, please let me know if doesn’t suit) he is the head of quality control 😂.

Wee diesel ford fiesta in Alexandra parade with diesel leak - leak off pipes replaced with genuine ford parts.

No pictures of the van but Merc sprinter with brakes all round, 3 new tyres & new shocks. Got new handbrake backing plates & new exhaust flex welded in which was pretty worn.

Had a really nice Focus ST for rear brake pads & Vauxhall Meriva for an oil & filter change.

Wee Peugeot 206 with 4 new tyres (couple worn & couple cracked with age) New exhaust from
front to back box as had snapped off & flex worn Oil & filter change with top quality oil as wet belt engine which was checked for wear but all ok as servicing been kept up with.

It’s been kept going & another busy week ahead so thank you very much.
Mobile tyre fitting is going well & few bookings on the website so thanks again for that. Still getting it up and running but work in progress.

Citroen C4 with a Cambox reseal
Replaced water pump & timing belt, camshaft seal and removed cambox housing and resealed as was leaking oil. Filled up all fluids and running perfect now.
Probably one of my favourite jobs, done quite a few of these now.

Skoda Fabia petrol broken down in Springburn.
Already had RAC out to have a look and too involved.

Cylinder 1 fuel injector o ring leaking.
Removed inlet manifold & found fuel rail retaining bolt had snapped.
Removed snapped bolt, replaced all gaskets & orings with genuine VW/Skoda parts & replaced oil & filter.
Customers got car back up & running again 👍

Great wee job & saves cost of a recovery - great to help customer get her car back running good again.

Been a very busy start back to the year

- Kia venga with a fuel leak still trying to source parts
- Renault scenic broke down needing a fan belt & tensioner.
- Vauxhall vivaro needing a link & strut top which had pretty much exploded.
- Old motor home with power steering leak - ordered new rack pipes will update when sorted
- Renault with a fueling issue diagnostics ongoing.
& a few wee odd jobs in between.

Seeing a lot of people with maybe a few wee repairs needed from last year been put off. Might be better to get in touch now before they get worse. Offer quality OE parts replacement.

Wee bit of work on this Volvo V40.
Had an inspection for MOT and a Full service on it.
Sorted out the rear brakes -nice new discs, pads & calipers on the rear. With new front pads too 👌.

New front coil Spring as had a snapped one.

Things you don’t want to see 😬 - ad blue injector leaking into the exhaust, been left a wee while and was clogging up the exhaust with ad blue. Had to remove centre pipe and flush out the exhaust as was blocked solid.

If you’re noticing increased ad blue consumption or warning lights on the dash better to get sorted sooner rather than later.
