🔧 Qualified Vehicle Technician/Mechanic – Full-Time, Permanent

This is a rare opportunity for an additional mechanic to join the established team at Gray’s Auto Services!

📍 Location:

Gray’s Auto Services, Newtonmore Road, Kingussie, PH21 1HE

⏰ Work Hours:
• Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
• Friday: 8:00am – 3:00pm
• 40 hours per week
• No weekend work

💰 Salary:
• Competitive – based on your knowledge and experience

🔎 Who we’re looking for:

✔️ Qualified Vehicle Technician (minimum NVQ Level 2 / City & Guilds) or equivalent
✔️ Experience with Autel & Bosch Diagnostics preferred
✔️ Capable of working to high standards and within time frames
✔️ Ability to work independently
✔️ Strong teamwork and communication skills

Other requirements:
✔️ Full UK Driving Licence
✔️ Own tools required

🔧 Your role will include:

🛠 Servicing & repairs on cars, vans, mini-buses, pick-ups, quadbikes etc
🛠 Timing belt, clutch etc replacement
🛠 Fault diagnosis and rectification
🛠 4-wheel alignment
🛠 Work on our own hire fleet

Today marks five years since we got the keys to what is now Gray’s Auto Services. A lot has happened in that time!

To mark the date, we are now offering something new…we can now service, repair and re-gas your cars Air Conditioning system!

Here is a reminder of what we offer at Gray’s:

We’re getting pretty regular enquiries asking whether we offer a nine seater minibus (including driver), and if we would be able to provide it for hire and reward use.

We’ve spoken to our insurance company and if we had such a vehicle, they would allow us to rent it out but with strict rules.

These are as follows:

✅ Driver aged 25 to 70 with experience
✅ Tour and activity guides only
✅ Strictly a part of the tour/activity
❌ No customers allowed to drive
❌ Absolutely no taxi activity allowed

We are considering acquiring a 9 seater mini-bus but this is an expensive vehicle and I need to be sure it makes sense.
