Look out for these common signs:‼️
• Squeaky or grinding noises
• Steering wheel vibration when braking
• Longer stopping distances
• Brake warning light

Have you heard of the 20p tyre tread test?
The 20p tyre‑tread test is a quick UK method to check if your tyres are above the legal minimum tread depth of 1.6 mm. Driving with illegal tyres can lead to £2,500 fines per tyre and penalty points. If you can see the outer band of the 20p coin when it’s inserted into the tread, your tyres may be illegal and unsafe.

Consider replacing tyres at 2mm, even though the legal limit is 1.6mm, braking distances increase sharply below 3 mm.
We recommend to check your tyres once a month especially if you travel long journeys. If your in any doubt pop down and one of the team will have a check for you!

🚘 If your vehicle is not driven properly, your Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) may not regenerate as it should!

Short trips, low speeds and stop/start driving can cause soot to build up, leading to:
⚠️ Blocked DPF
⚠️ Loss of Power
⚠️ Dashboard Warning Lights
⚠️ Carbon Build up

🚨 This Renault Trafic came in to us showing an Engine Warning and DPF Light - requiring an assessment.

🛠 After a DPF clean and Fortron injector max 6 in 1, the vehicle was taken on an extended road test, where it then was able to self-regenerate successfully!
