When does my car actually need a service?
It's a question we hear all the time.
Your manufacturer's recommended service schedule is the best place to start - but your car might also give you a few hints that it's time for some attention.
~ A service or warning light has appeared.
Most modern cars will tell you when a service is due based on your mileage and sometimes even your driving style.
~ You're hearing new or unusual noises.
Those weird and wonderful sounds can often be identified during a service inspection and are a sign to take your vehicle to a garage.
~ Fuel economy or performance changed.
You might notice a full tank of fuel doesn't last as long or your vehicle just feels a bit "off."
~ It's been at least a year since your last service.
Under normal circumstances, your vehicle should be serviced every year.
~ You can't remember the last time it was serviced!
Life just gets in the way, doesn't it?! If this is the case, chances are your service is overdue.
