Don’t you just love summer driving—until you come across a road that’s just been surface dressed? To make matters worse, there’s always someone who thinks the advisory speed limit doesn’t apply to them. The result? They blast past, spraying your car with loose chippings and leaving you wincing at every ping against the paintwork.

Clearly, not everyone interprets road markings the same way — although, to be fair, it doesn’t help when they’re faded enough to qualify as archaeological remains. Still, you’d think that after almost having a head-on collision, a driver might suspect they’re in the wrong place.

Sadly, the driver of the white car had other ideas. They politely reversed to let the car using the junction correctly pass through… only to return immediately to exactly the same wrong spot. Confidence is admirable, even when it’s completely misplaced.

Don’t get caught out this weekend!

Reminder: A47 Full weekend road closure for road layout changes at Easton🛣️📢

We’re getting ready for major changes at Easton as part of upgrading the A47 to dual carriageway between North Tuddenham and Easton — including the removal of Easton Roundabout.

To carry out this work safely, the A47 will be fully closed in both directions between Wood Lane Junction and Longwater Interchange from 8pm on this Friday (31 July) until 6am on Monday 3 August 🚧🌙

From 3 August, when the road reopens:
➡️ Easton Roundabout will be fully removed
➡️ East–west traffic will move onto the new dual carriageway
➡️ Access to Dereham Road and Church Lane from the A47 will be permanently closed
➡️ A 3.25m width restriction will be in place through the project.

Additionally, the A47 between Lyng Road and Fox Lane junction will be closed overnight in both directions from 8pm on Saturday (1 August) to 6am on Sunday (2 August) for traffic barrier repairs. Lyng Road and Fox Lane junction will remain open.
