Here's a thing....... when you get it in your head the direction you are going with a project and spend time and money doing what you think is the right thing for it...... then start to mock it up and realise you messed up.......😁
I was trying to get the least amount of fresh air between my front tyre and the leaf spring on this Chief project so jumped the gun and opted for a 21" front rim..... looks bloody awful and if I had just done a bit of research I would have found out a 19" rim with a 4.00 tyre is actually taller than the 21" every day's a school day......
And in my defence the bars were only temporary to push the bike around but the whole dog bone riser thing was another sh*te decision.......🤣

Here's another Low-Rider...... I like Low-Riders.....😁 I've had this one a while but not really had time to look at it until recently.... even then I forgot to take some before pics.....🙄 anyway not to worry it's all sorted now, it was a pretty nice honest old thing to be fair and only needed a bit of re-commissioning.....
Paintwork was re-done by Phil at Studio 45 specialist paintwork and I raided the stash to add a few original bits to bring it back to how it should be.... It's got a CV carb on it now as I didn't like the Mikuni that was on it when it came to me....
Nice to see a full compliment of the factory ID and warning stickers still intact.....

Anyway I was on with an 82 FXWG refresh the last post so here's a few pics of that..... turned out nice and I have been out and about on it the last couple of weeks, runs and rides really nice and shock horror the brakes are great on it.......😁

FXWG coming along nicely...... It's had a good ole clean and detail, the original foot controls that came with the bike have been put back on, found an exhaust system that's much nicer than what was on there and pretty close to what would have come from the factory..... found some tidy rear shocks, correct style of bars and straight risers fitted, also tidied up all the cables wiring and brake pipes while I was at it, binned the louvred coil and battery covers, and that tacky mesh clutch cover....... getting there.......😁
