Happy Friday everyone 🥳 Wouldn't mind if the jobs flew by this quick in real life. 😅🔧

There's a common myth that timing chains last the lifetime of the car. Sadly, they don’t. 👎They stretch, tensioners get tired, and if it jumps a tooth, your pistons and valves end up introducing themselves to each other. 🤝💥

Sorting it early means this Polo is good for thousands more miles, and because we specialise in the bigger, complex jobs here in Kilmarnock, we got it turned around without the hefty main-dealer price tag or the months long wait for a booking. 👍

Hearing a rattle when you start the car up in the morning? Don’t just blast the radio. Drop us a message or give us a ring to get it checked out. 👇

Brrr… it’s absolutely Baltic out there today! 🥶

As the temperatures start to drop, your car feels the chill just as much as you do.

Freezing temperatures, road salt, and those classic hidden potholes create the perfect storm for winter car misery:

💥 Broken Coil Springs: Cold metal becomes brittle metal. Hit a pothole the wrong way on a frosty morning, and your suspension springs can easily snap.

🛑 Suspension & Bushing Issues: Worn suspension components hate the cold, turning a smooth drive into a clunky, uncomfortable nightmare.

🟤 Corrosion: That road grit is brilliant for keeping you from skidding, but it’s an absolute menace for rusting out your undercarriage and brake lines if left unchecked.

Don't wait for the breakdown. 💡

Catching these issues early is the key to preventing a miserable wait on the side of the road on a cold morning. Getting ahead of the winter weather saves you from expensive emergency repairs and keeps significantly more money in your pocket.💸

At Mechtronics, we specialise in keeping your car safely on the road. Whether you need a thorough winter health check on your suspension, advanced diagnostics for that dashboard light, or a service on your automatic transmission or AWD system, to ensure you actually have traction on icy mornings—we’ve got you covered.

We offer expert, specialist care with fast turnarounds and fair, transparent pricing. 🔧🚗

⚡Never guess when high voltage is involved

When working with electric and hybrid vehicles, accurate testing isn't just about finding the fault—it's about safety, precision, and doing the job right. 💪

Happy Monday, Ayrshire! ☕

Ever wonder why some wet timing belt replacements end up costing you an entire engine?💥

We see a lot of quotes out there for this job that look suspiciously cheap. Here’s the dirty secret: a lot of garages will just slap a new belt on, charge you, and wave you off.👋
But here's the catch—because these belts run directly in the engine oil, as they degrade over time, the rubber particles end up straight in your sump. This debris completely clogs up the oil pick-up strainer.🤢

It’s basically your engine’s equivalent of a blocked artery. Leave that gunk in there, and your engine starves of oil. Fast forward a few miles, and you’re looking at catastrophic engine failure and a massive bill. 💸

At Mechtronics, we don't cut corners. When we carry out a wet belt replacement, we drop the sump and meticulously clean out the pick-up strainer to ensure your engine can actually breathe and pump oil properly.💧

It’s about doing the job right the first time to prevent a breakdown, whilst saving you a fortune compared to main-dealer prices—with much shorter lead times, too! ⏱️

Don't risk your motor for the sake of a 'quick' job. Bring it to the local specialists who actually care about what's going on inside your engine. 🔧

Code readers guess. Dealer-level software kits know.📊💻A generic OBD-II reader reads top-level symptom codes, like P0300 for a random misfire and stops there. It can’t tell you why the cylinder is failing, leaving you to swap parts, clear codes, and cross your fingers. That isn't diagnostics, that's expensive trial and error.😅

🚨Code readers hand you a list of possible suspects. Dealer-level software pinpoint the culprit, program the replacement module, calibrate the system, and confirm the repair.
