Due to continued growth and expansion we are looking to recruit a Recovery Driver to join our team based in Kidderminster.

If you like variety then this is the job for you, Jobs to include wheel changes, jump starts, diagnostics recovering customer home or to a garage safely and efficiently, or even getting car’s out of a hedge!

You will need great customer service skills as dealing with people in sometimes difficult circumstances.

Due to the nature of this HGV driving job, an element of flexibility is required. This is no 9am-5pm operation; you’ll work a rotational shift pattern 4 on 2 off and that will include days, nights, weekends and Bank Holidays. You’ll be ready to do a lot of driving to all kinds of locations, in all weathers, and work quickly and efficiently.

Experience is not essential but must have minimum class 2 licence and CPC. You will Also need basic mechanical knowledge.

Due to the nature of the job you will need to pass basic DBS check.

Earning while learning at AVS 🔧

After finishing school, Rafal Poleski went straight into an Autocare Technician apprenticeship at AVS after impressing the team during his work experience.

Rafal chose an apprenticeship because he prefers learning by doing, not sitting in a classroom. Now, he’s gaining real skills every day - working independently, speaking to customers, and getting hands-on experience with clutches, cambelts and tyre work.
