Well folks that’s all from me beep beep 😂 Thank you to all my followers for your likes and shares over the last 5 years, it really has been appreciated.
Thanks to all my students for putting up with me blethering away in your ears as you learned how to drive and congratulations to you all again and I hope life is going well and your staying safe on the roads.
Thanks to all the parents and partners who help so much in allowing the students to gain experience on the road, you really really make a difference 👍🏻
Thanks to all my fellow instructors in the Inverurie area, I’ve never seen us as being in competition with each other, we’re all just trying our best to help our drivers learn how to cope with the pressures of being on the road.
Cheers to my buddy Graham Coutts, we’ve shared many a conversation and a moan about the situation our students find themselves in and the difficulties finding a test. I’ll miss the waves on the road from all the instructors.
And finally thanks to my bookkeeper Kirsty for keeping me on the straight and narrow. And letting me rant about the job but also sharing the 100’s of successes too. 🥳🚙😍👋🏻

Hello all 👋🏻 Very soon i will be taking the road to the right and retiring from being a driving instructor. After more than 4 years in the job it’s time to hang up the L plates. I will continue to help my current students but will not be taking anymore on. I have not set an exact date yet but it would be unfair to start any new pupils and not see them through their journey. Thanks as always to all my students and followers. 🚙🫶🏻

Congratulations today goes to Eden who was up bright and early to pass the test with a lovely drive. Absolutely delighted to have been able to help her along the road to her licence. Big shout out to Mum & Dad for all their hours in the car. I’m going to miss getting chauffeured about in her wee Mini.

We’re making some subtle but meaningful changes to the practical driving test. 🚗

You may have seen that we have been trialling changes to the driving test at 20 driving test centres.

As part of the trial, learners drove on routes containing more high-speed, rural roads during their driving test, where location allowed. Now, we are rolling out the changes to all driving test centres in Great Britain from 24 November 2025.

As well as increasing the amount of time spent on higher-speed roads, we are:

✅ reducing the number of stops during the test from 4 to 3
✅ lowering the frequency of emergency stop exercises from 1 in 3 tests to 1 in 7
✅ adding flexibility to the independent driving segment, allowing it to run for the full duration of the test

These changes are designed to help improve road safety by better replicating the conditions motorists face in the real world. They won’t affect the skills needed to take a driving test.

Monday test day and congratulations today goes to Ayva on a superb drive and test pass in Inverurie. She kept her nerves at bay and went and got that licence no problem. It’s been a pleasure to get to know and help her onto the road and ofcourse a massive shout out to Mum & Dad for their hours in the car.
Well Quine you can now drive to training and all your footy matches(well done for not getting injured at the weekend)
Thanks for being a brilliant chauffeur and I wish you all the best in the future. Happy driving 🚙🥳
