Reporting to the Company secretary, you will work alongside and support all company departments.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Working within North Road Garage finance team you will be responsible for managing financial records, processing invoices and reconciling financial statements regarding North Road Garage. You will also assist in preparing financial reports and maintaining accurate financial data as required on a weekly/monthly basis.
MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide a positive customer experience by being polite and courteous at all times.
Prepare monthly management accounts on Excel/Sage Accountancy Software.
Carry out all daily book-keeping as necessary for the role.
Ensure petty cash float is up to date, regularly monitored and reconciled weekly.
Production of monthly sales invoices.
Receipt, processing and posting of purchase invoices and expenses.
Daily monitoring of bank credits and debits and matching these against sales and purchase invoices which are regularly batch processed into the system.
Compilation and processing of additional spreadsheets to assist with effective organisation and tracking.
Regular production of aged debtors lists and liaising with debtors by telephone and email to maintain regular cashflow.
Regular liaison with the company secretary to inform of financial status of the company.
Regular bank reconciliation with hard copy bank statements.
Bank deposits.
Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts to ensure their accuracy.
Report ant discrepancies and problems to line manager.
Handle any customer complaints in a professional manner.
Answering telephone.
Liaise with external bodies as required.
OTHER DUTIES
The post holder is expected to work to further the aims of the company and to comply with the companies policies and procedures. This is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities, and the post holder will be expected to undertake other duties within the remit of the job and appropriate to their level of seniority as requested by the relevant line manager.
This is a minimum 35 hour week.
Rates of pay negotiable for the right candidate.
