- Top end rebuild kit. Mitaka/NE gaskets, superb quality, with a J*p small end. Pistons available range from Mitaka, to Vertex, Wossner or Wiseco!
- Bottom end rebuild kit. Typically a Mitaka crankshaft, but more expensive Hotrods or Wossner/Wiseco are typically available too, with a Mitaka/NE bottom end gasket kit, Mitaka/Winderosa seal kit & Koyo main bearings.
- Cylinder replating. Your average replate is £165, rising to £195 if welding is required. With piston and gaskets for a 125cc you're looking at £265 with Mitaka piston & Top end gasket kit!
- Full engine rebuild kit. Again, a Mitaka crankshaft, with Mitaka/NE full gasket kit, Mitaka/Winderosa seal kit, Mitaka piston & Koyo mains (NTN for 4-strokes).
All parts are upgradable; we can supply an Athena gasket kit over the Mitaka, or Wossner piston over Mitaka piston etc.
But there really isn't anything wrong with Mitaka. The bad press it gets is when they're fit by a customer's friends brothers grandads best mate's cousin, who has no experience other than a 3 minute YouTube video for reference, who then subsequently passes it back to the customer who rags it around his local estate before it goes BANG. With the correct care & attention they last & work perfectly fine.
