Can we transform this 1988 130 in just TWO WEEKS? 👀

we’re taking a 1988 130 with its original 3.5L V8 and stripping it right back to bare metal, ready for a complete transformation ahead of the shooting season.

Preparation is everything on a build like this. Before any paint goes near the truck, there’s a huge amount of stripping, metal preparation and filling to get through. Get the prep wrong and even the best paint finish won’t last.

The plan is to combine a high-end gloss finish with heavy-duty Raptor protection, giving the truck the durability it needs for green lanes and countryside use while still making it look smart enough to stand out when travelling through stately homes and estates.

With only two weeks to complete the project, the pressure is on.

Surprise arrival into the paint shop today!

This awesome Land Rover 130, 3.5L V8 ex ambulance, subsequently converted into a Gun Bus for a local estate.

In for a much needed total repaint before the seasons starts….

….. in 2 weeks time!

We do love a challenge, so we got the whole team on this one.

Will try an d list daily updates on this project - should be a fun one to follow along.

Two Range Rover Evokes in the workshop this morning.

One with a persistent engine management light - most likely EGR faults.

The other for a new clutch.

The evokes are great little range rovers - but not without their own quirks and features.
