The Route has changed for this weekend!

IMPORTANT FELIXSTOWE RUN UPDATE - ROUTE CHANGE

1030 Friday 1st May 2026

As you may have seen, emergency roadworks have appeared at the Heath Road / Foxhall Road roundabout in East Ipswich. 4-way traffic lights will seriously affect the road run, therefore the organising team have made the decision to reroute the run as follows:

Planned route from Christchurch Park to Woodbridge Road East. Then continue via Main Road through Kesgrave to the A12 at Martleaham. The route then takes the A12 south to the Seven Hills interchange, before passing UNDER the A14, to pick up the planned route down the old A45 at Levington. Vehicles do not need to go down the A14 at any point.

We appreciate that some entrants may not wish (or be able) to travel on the A12 trunk road (such as the Sinclair C5s), so may continue along the old route or find an alternative route through the traffic if they wish. We ask all entrants to run from Christchurch Park to Woodbridge Road and from Levington to Felixstowe as planned.

On the map below, the red line indicates the route through the roadworks, whilst the blue route is the one we have had to adjust to.

For spectators, we recommend viewing from Christchurch Park to Woodbridge Road East, and Levington to Felixstowe to see as many vehicles as possible.

We apologise for this alteration, but hope you can appreciate that 800 extra vehicles through what will be a massive pinch point for Ipswich traffic is not ideal.
