This tyre could have failed at any moment…

Recently we've seen several vehicles come in with tyres that were much closer to failure than their owners realised. In one case, a large bulge had developed in the sidewall and the driver had no idea it was there!

A quick visual check every few weeks, and especially before a long journey, can help you spot potential problems before they become dangerous.

Take a look for:

The trouble with wet belts: you probably won’t realise you car has one until there's a problem with it.

But what IS a wet belt though?

Some modern cars have a belt inside the engine that runs in oil. Over time, they can break down and shed material into the engine. If they fail completely, it can lead to serious and VERY expensive engine damage.

But the good news is we carry out wet belt replacements here at our new workshop. 🎉

Uh oh… engine light’s on. What can it mean!?

Normally, the light it should extinguish as soon as the engine starts. But if it’s still illuminated with the engine running, it indicates a malfunction with the engine management system.

Give us a ring as soon as possible and we can plug it into our diagnostics machine to check for engine faults. You’ll know in no time.

It’s the time of year when you just DON’T want your aircon conking out on out.

Over time, as gas levels drop and filters clog, your aircon has to work harder and less efficiently.

We're looking for experienced an MOT Tester/Mechanic to join us at our family-run independent garage in Ipswich. The role is full-time (Monday-Friday, no weekends or bank holidays).

What we’re looking for:
• Up to date MOT annual assessment certificate
• Own tools
• Team player, reliable, good work ethic
• Full UK driving licence

What the role involves:
• Mechanical repairs & maintenance on all makes/models
• Fault diagnostics & high-quality repair work
• Conducting MOT tests to DVSA standards
• Helping in a busy, well-equipped workshop
