Headrests that play music. We had to check that was real.

Yesterday we told you we'd sold 4 cars in 3 days. Today the honest bit: we need more.

Simon's spent 30 years buying and selling cars in Suffolk, and this is normally the part he's better at showing than talking about, but the forecourt's looking sparse and we're not ones to sit around waiting for stock to fall in our laps.

We had a content plan for this bank holiday weekend. Customers had other plans entirely.

The Mercedes GLC 220d - Sold and gone.
The Ford Ranger Wildtrak - Sold.
The Mazda 3 - sold and already driven away.
The SsangYong Musso didn't even make it onto social media before it sold. No video, no post, nothing - someone got a genuinely excellent 4x4 very quietly, and we're still not over it.
And this morning, a deposit landed on the BMW 118i Sport.

We're not complaining. Five happy customers, five handpicked cars, all going to good homes - that's the whole job, really. We just didn't expect to do quite so much of it over a bank holiday.

It does mean the forecourt's looking noticeably emptier than it did on Friday. So if you've got a car sitting on your drive that you've been half-thinking about selling - especially anything low-mileage, one owner, full history, now's a genuinely good time to talk to us. We pay fairly, we're straightforward about it, and we might just save you the faff of a private sale.

Yes, I know it's still August. But the school run traffic doesn't care about the calendar. We've put together a 5-minute checklist you can run on the driveway before school driving chaos kicks off:

🔹 Tyre tread - 1.6mm is the legal minimum, but Simon and I always say 3mm+ once the autumn rain sets in
🔹 Wipers & screen wash - streaky blades plus low morning sun is a nasty combination
🔹 Lights & battery - mornings are getting darker, and a fortnight parked up over summer can catch older batteries out

🔹 Boot kit - hi-vis, torch, charger, ice scraper. Just in case.
