Our neighbours Car-Cocoon are hosting a Cars & Coffee event TODAY at HighFields Farm, Stowmarket — free entry, with donations supporting the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

Volunteering in Ipswich This Week - Supporting Bags of Taste 💙

It's Volunteer Week, and today my car was full of 12 Bags of Taste cooking bags delivered around Ipswich. Bags of Taste is a brilliant charity helping people learn to cook healthy, affordable meals from scratch and it's amazing how much difference one small bag of ingredients can make. Proud to support something so practical and positive in our community.

We've never just sold cars. And a podcast in a 35 degree heat just proved why. 🌿☀️ She was listening to 10% Happier, Dan Harris's brilliant podcast, featuring author Kate Murphy, whose book "You're Not Listening" explores something we've always believed but never quite had the words for. That truly listening to someone, really hearing them, builds a kind of trust that no slick sales pitch ever could.

For us, it's always meant this: when you call Simon Shield Cars, we're not thinking about which car needs to move this week. We're listening to you. Your life. Your family. Your commute. Whether a car genuinely fits, or whether something else on the forecourt would serve you far better.

Sometimes that means telling someone the car they called about isn't actually right for them. They always thank us for it. 😊

Thirty years of doing business this way. A podcast on a ride-on mower just beautifully confirmed we've been right all along. 🌿
