New vehicle. New car finish. Done properly.

The brief was simple: bring this Lotus Eletre 600 up to the standard you’d expect from a brand-new vehicle, maximise the gloss and protect it properly.

Unfortunately, like many new vehicles, it wasn’t quite perfect straight from the dealership. We had a number of dealership defects and imperfections to contend with, so the first stage was correcting what shouldn’t have been there in the first place.

So we got to work:

• Full paint inspection
• Correction of dealership defects
• Paint refinement for maximum gloss
• CARPRO DQUARTZ applied
• CQUARTZ Finest Reserve applied
• Infrared cured
• Wheels coated
• Glass coated
• Final interior handover detail

The difference is in the preparation.
The protection is in the coatings.

The brief was simple: correct the paint, maximise the gloss and protect it properly.

The customer chose CARPRO DQUARTZ + CQUARTZ Finest Reserve — DQUARTZ providing the tough, durable base layer, with Finest Reserve adding that incredible gloss, slickness and premium finish.

So we got to work:

🔹 Full paint correction
🔹 Final refinement for maximum gloss
🔹 DQUARTZ + Finest Reserve applied
🔹 Infrared cured
🔹 Wheels coated
🔹 Glass coated

IMPROVEMENT

The process of taking damaged paintwork and restoring as much of its original appearance as possible — without replacing the panel or pretending the damage never happened.

The goal wasn’t to make unrealistic promises — it was to improve the finish, reduce the visual impact of the damage and restore as much clarity and gloss as the surface would allow.

The coating is only as good as the preparation underneath it.

2021 Volkswagen up! GTI — the exterior bodywork was carefully corrected and refined before receiving a CarPro DQUARTZ base coat, CarPro Finest Reserve top coat and a final layer of CarPro Release.

Attention to detail extended across the entire exterior, including paintwork, lights and glass, ensuring every surface was properly prepared and protected.

Volvo XC90 — Detailed Correction & Refinement

This XC90 came into JRC Detailing for a paint correction and refinement, removing a significant amount of defects and restoring clarity, gloss and depth to the paintwork.

Once the correction stage was complete, the paint was protected with a professional CarPro system:

• CarPro DQuartz Professional — base coat
• CarPro CQuartz Finest Reserve — top coat
• CarPro Release — final protection and finish

The detailing didn’t stop at the paint.

The wheels and exterior plastics were treated with CarPro DQuartz, while the glass received CarPro GForce for durable protection and improved wet-weather visibility.

A proper correction isn’t about simply making a car look shiny. It’s about safely refining the paint, restoring the finish and then protecting the work that’s gone into it.

Today we said goodbye to a very special person.

I had the honour and privilege of working on John’s rally car one final time before his funeral. To be able to do that for someone I was so close to is something I’ll never forget. It was an incredibly difficult job, but one I was proud to carry out for John.

I also had the privilege of working on the Mini, and I’d like to say a huge thank you to Simon Hay for reaching out and giving me the opportunity to be involved.

John was a huge part of the Scottish rally scene, but to me, he was much more than that — he was a mate, and someone who will be deeply missed.

Today was incredibly hard, but I’m grateful I could play a small part in giving John and his cars the send-off they deserved.

Rest easy, mate. ❤️🏁

Fly high, John — and keep those wheels turning.
