🔧⚡ Something different, as I don’t just fix vehicles…

Called out to a generator with a poor starting issue. Needed a new battery then came back to carry out a full service.

🚨 THIEF CAUGHT ON CCTV 🚨

Thankfully, we’ve got CCTV protecting the whole property!

Customer left keys in agreed safe place only when I went to move the vehicle they weren’t there. Checked with customer just incase they took them home by mistake… which they had not.

CCTV showed customer leaving keys where agreed. Scrolled surveillance to look for movements at that spot.

Here comes Brian retrieving keys and relocating to his own safe place!

Who could be mad for long at that cute face! ‘

Our wee Brian the Brave is 2 today 🐾🖤

Brian came all the way from Romania, where he was rescued as a newborn and hand-reared with so much love by the amazing Melisa at Paws2Rescue.

Now he’s the cuddliest, most loving little lad and a very important part of the Mech-Innes team.

Anyone who’s happened to meet him will know he likes to think he is K9 security!

This Volvo 𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗛𝗤 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗴𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝘅 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗳𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝟮 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱!

It was booked in to have the gearbox replaced( supplied by the customer after a diagnosis elsewhere).

Before I started, I carried out my own checks…The gearbox was absolutely fine!

What it actually needed? Both front wheel bearings replaced.

This is exactly why I always carry out my own diagnostics, no matter what a vehicle comes in for.

Our geese 🪿 are laying eggs again. If you fancy trying a goose egg they are £2 each.

They are available at the honesty box or delivery can be arranged. They are about 3 times the size of a chicken egg.

Campervan season has begun and so have the unexpected detours…

A French couple’s road trip hit trouble after going into a ditch. They were recovered to a local dealer who was fully booked and contacted myself to see if I could help.

I managed to reshuffle some jobs so their holiday wasn’t on pause for too long. I fixed the mechanical damage (steering knuckle, wheel bearing and strut) and got them enjoying touring the Highlands again.
