it seams the turbo clinic are trying to limit damage to their amateurcompany by commenting on my reviews so I made a more comprehensive review,
In response to their comments which are complete rubbish and out of context,
their product took hours to put right after being delivered un-quality controlled, ie bolts left slack, actuator not set up correctly, on speaking to the owner and manager on the phone it was clear they didn’t not have a good understanding how a turbocharged vehicle works, this is made clearer when you consider they think a turbo charger can be removed from a 4 wheel drive S3 in under 2 hours, they are clearly quoting a 2 wheel drive tfsi model, and even then 2 hours would be very fast and done without due care, an amateur statement,
Their offer of compensation consisted of a £200 surcharge once I returned my fully serviceable k04 S3 turbo, very insulting considering a good secondhand k04 sells for almost double that,
Let me put this in to prospective, if a person bought and had a garage fit this turbo on their behalf, they would have faced serious problems, not only being without their car, but also the costs that are involved paying someone to put things right, to adjust the actuator on these cars is a horrendous job, to even get access to the compression housing requires lots of work, which could have being prevented had someone just double checked the workmanship of the person who built the turbo,
It is clear their business has nosedived considerably since I’ve reviewed my experience and they are trying limit the damage,
If you buy from this company you will receive no aftercare, no help, just excuses and everything will be your fault,
Finally, there are lots of other turbo manufacturers and upgraders to choice from, with good feedback, why take the risk, don’t make the same mistake I did!
