Happy new year to all of our customers! Do hope everyone has enjoyed the festive period! We are back open tomorrow but we are advising customers to not make unnecessary trips out. Unfortunately parking in the yard is not possible but we have cleared the drive up to the door. We will work with customers to reschedule all appointments that can’t be made due to the snow.

We thank you all for the previous year and look forward to seeing you all again this coming year.

Car came in with airbag light on and wing mirror switches wouldn’t adjust mirrors

After a quick check of the mirror fuses (all ok) I plugged in to read for airbag faults and indicated a fault with the driver door sensor so knew straight away there was an issue within the door somewhere.

Once all wires were repaired the airbag light went off and mirrors worked

Top guide has been sheared off and all the plastic guides also broke and fell down inside the chain, some made its way to the sump and blocked the oil pump, some stayed jammed around the timing chain, and the metal part of the upper guide jammed in the oil pump chain and was scraping on it whilst running

I’ve lost count how many wet belts we have changed now and how many engines we’ve had to rebuild due to them failing (lowest miles we’ve seen with a failure was 44k miles)

Not many garages are willing to touch these engines
