Well, the time has come and we’ve decided to downsize. We are not giving up the water but the time is right for us to move on to a smaller boat. She’ll be sorely missed when she goes as she’s one hell of a boat. Take a peek:

Hi everyone. As soon as this spell of bad weather clears off(!) we’ll be off to Crinan Boatyard for a few weeks for our seasonal lift out and a few jobs. We’ll be back in the water at the start of April, our first outing to the Mull Music Festival at Tobermory. Looking forward to the season 😁

Following maintenance and improvements at Crinan Boatyard our season got underway with our first charter in mid July.
We had an energetic family of 5 who had not long relocated back to the UK from Singapore. The weather played a huge part in the success of the charter and apart from thick fog for a few hours on our return from Tiree the sun shone and it was warm - yes, warm!
We were lucky to have onboard our friend Lu Jing who is a 5th year medical student at Aberdeen University and who is a whiz in the galley and with the children too.

The mad rush to the finish line at Crinan Boatyard was successful thanks to the sterling efforts of everyone there. We’re now berthed at Lochaline ready to catch the rest of the season.
The weather is a contrast from yesterday but due to clear up through the week which will be great as we’re heading to Coll and Tiree with a family of five for five days tomorrow.

We're nearly there.... The long lead items have arrived and are being installed. We also took the opportunity to do some nice improvements to Aspyrian during this 'longer than planned' maintenance period and the Team at Crinan Boatyard have been doing a great job dealing with my requests!
Our aim is to be heading north to our mooring at Lochaline on or around the 10th July to prepare for our first charter of the season the following week. Here we go!

She's oot!
Aspyrian is now on the hard stand at Crinan Boatyard having that long awaited essential maintenance carried out. We were told she was a little 'green' under the waterline which is hardly surprising. We're not sure if she'll be back in the water for the start of the season however, we hope to catch at least some of May. We're heading over there to help (read 'get in the way') with the never ending list of jobs soon and I'll take some photos for sharing.
