Lanoguard underbody protection

The process...

Day 1 visit
The vehicle is elevated the and all the loose debris/flakey rust etc is removed. The entire underside is given a thorough pressure wash.
Day 2 visit
After leaving the vehicle to dry off, the treatment can begin. Lanoguard is injected into box sections. After this, an entire coat on the underside is applied
24 hrs later, the vehicle can be driven.
All that is required is an outside tap and power supply.

One of the last Lanoguard treatments this year before things start getting colder!

Great to be joining the land of the living again after, what seemed, an endless virus. Went out to Buckie today to fit rear calipers, pads, discs, handbrake cables and a door handle to a Vauxhall Movano van. The van belongs to J Kennedy Joinery Ltd, who was very accommodating with re-scheduling due to my illness.

Hi again everyone, thanks for the well-wishes for this man-flu 😁
Im still not great at the moment and have decided to suspend all work until Saturday 4th.

It seems oil coolers are failing more often round these parts!
In this case, it was an E90 325 BMW with the 3.0 diesel unit. The symptom this time was a heavy oil leak from under the oil filter housing. Many heat cycles turn the seals hard and brittle, rendering them useless. Here in the picture there is a new genuine BMW gasket and seals waiting to be mated to the engine block.

If you drive a Vauxhall Astra, Vectra, Zafira, or Insignia (1.6L or 1.8L petrol), take a look at what I’m working on today!
The owner spotted thick, brown "chocolate milkshake" sludge inside their coolant bottle. Usually, that screams "blown head gasket" and a massive bill! On these engines, there is a much more common culprit: the oil cooler, buried right behind the exhaust manifold.
Over time, intense engine heat bakes the internal rubber seals until they crack. Because oil pressure is high, it forces engine oil straight into your cooling system.
The Warning Signs:
Thick, milky sludge in your coolant expansion tank.
A burning oil smell in the cabin (as it leaks onto the hot exhaust)
Dropping oil levels, even though the car runs smoothly.
The Good News? You likely don’t need a new head gasket! I’m replacing the degraded seals right now on this Vectra C and flushing the cooling system clean
