Seam sealer applied to the Moondust RS Turbo followed by sprayable sealer.

Applied in an OEM fashion with added protection where required.

We use only use 3M sprayable sealer as its simply the best. No other product on the market comes close…

Many use ‘Raptor’ due to its tint-able nature and ease of application. But this is not a sealer, don’t make this mistake! It goes off hard and can crack and chip away not providing valuable protection to the underside of your car. Allowing water ingress and opening up a rusty can of worms! 🪱

Bodykit test fit on the Moondust RS Turbo.

Really important to get these kits fitting right before paint. Studs repaired as required on a rear arch and holes drilled with pinpoint accuracy.

Most of the kit is NOS items. Which has made this process less painful. One sill cover was actually a genuine original NOS Moondust painted sill cover!

A good genuine RS Turbo front bumper couldn’t be sourced. However we got the next best thing. A very good XR2i bumper. Trimmed to suit the RS rad and fan setup and holes filled to replicate an RS bumper.

NOS rear bumper used to make this car as new as possible.

Such a large engine squeezed into a small space. Plenty of detailing carried out to get this Zetec looking brand new again.

Having no power steering helps keep some driving feel while also keeping the engine bay as clear as possible.

Great to have all the original components for this build. Items like an original airbox can be hard to source these days…

Ford Fiesta RS1800 is now complete.

Pacifica Blue paint looks soo good out in the sunshine.

With a new backbox made to look OEM, the car sailed through its first MOT and is now ready for the owner to get some miles on it.

We’ve thoroughly enjoyed the journey of this build, the car drives fantastically. Although not a turbo the 1800 is much more linear. With more displacement the 1800 is actually easier to drive.
