IMPORTANT NOTICE
As per an earlier phone call with our Field Manager, it is with great sadness that we (Tracey & Sophie) will no longer be working for Hermes/Evri (possibly as of the week after next). This is a decision that we have not made lightly, but due to work conditions that are now being put in place for couriers (with only 1 weeks notice) we cannot continue to support ourselves/families and will unfortunately need to find alternative work ASAP. We cannot stay in a job that is no longer financially viable, and for a company that has little to no respect for its workers.
Please feel free to air any views you have, directly with Hermes/Evri. We hope that if enough of our customers speak up, they may begin to look at all their changes and realise the way they are treating their workers is unacceptable. (We will try to obtain an email/number for customers to use, which is proving difficult to find!)
One of the changes will be that we no longer have the parcels brought to us in the morning and will have to travel almost 2 hours each day to collect them (with no extra pay to cover fuel/time). So with this, Tracey will continue to deliver the parcels for as long as they are brought out as usual. Once this stops, that will be the end. (And Sophie, will most likely not return in September as planned)
We'd like to thank you all for being the best customers, and for all your kind words and gifts over the years. We appreciate it all! We will (if we leave for definite) miss you all. But no doubt will still see you all around the village.
Best wishes
Tracey & Sophie
