Lovely little Singer 9 rods that I did back in April (I'm quite behind on posting stuff!)

A bit more from the Singer 9...Measuring the length of the front main (so I can set the end float) took a bit of thought...

A bit more from the Singer 9...

Measuring the length of the front main (so I can set the end float) took a bit of thought as the 2" micrometer didn't have a deep enough throat to reach. I got around it with a massive mic and slip gauge!

I couldn't take the boring bar out of the middle which would have been much easier.

A lovely little Singer 9 Le Mans from a while ago. The previous metal had all let go as the tinning wasn't great. All sorted now though and the engine's running well.

I really like these- they're fantastically well designed things about 1100cc I think. Barrel crank that's counterbalanced and an all round joy to work on!

I'll put some more pictures in a separate post (FB won't let you post a video *and* pictures, for an unknown reason)

Here are the shells for the Talbot engine I posted a couple of days ago.

The originals had been jiggling in the block, so I had to bore that back to round, then make new backing bronzes, metal them and line bore it all to size. Bish bash bosh.
