Experienced Mechanic
📍 HOLME VALLEY TESTING

🔧 About the Role:

You’ll be working in a busy, well-equipped garage, handling everything from basic servicing to complex diagnostics and repairs on a variety of vehicles. We take pride in quality work and customer satisfaction — and we’re looking for someone who shares that mindset.

Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out vehicle servicing and general repairs
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out effective repairs
• Perform inspections and ensure vehicles are roadworthy
• Keep accurate records of work completed
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

What You’ll Need:
• Proven experience as a mechanic (cars/light commercial vehicles)
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills
• Full UK driving licence
• MOT tester qualification is a bonus (but not essential)

If the MOT on your car, van or motorbike is due we recommend you book in early 📅

Don’t forget you can have the MOT up to a month (minus a day) before it’s due and still keep your renewal date.

Correct tyre pressure is essential to prevent uneven wear on your tyres. It is recommended to check the pressure every few weeks.

If you are unsure on your vehicles tyre pressures just call down and one of our friendly technicians will check and adjust them to the correct pressure free of charge.

If you can’t make it down we can happily advise you on the correct pressure over the phone from our auto data system.
