Honda S660 π
This stunning little Honda S660 was recently imported by a really good friend of mine. Unfortunately, things didnt go quite to plan when they went to give it a wash π
They accidently used some pretty strong, undiluted pre-wash, and left it a little too long before realising.
Luckily, the car had been ceramic coated when imported. However, the paint had gone dull and slightly discolored, and both the exterior plastics and engine bay plastics were also very stained.
She dropped us a message to ask some advice, but once we had seen photos and videos of the damage, we offered to make the trip and help sort it.
So, this little JDM nugget ended up getting -
β
Safe wash
β
Snow foam
β
Light clay treatment
β
Machine polish
β
Ceramic wax top up
β
Engine bay detail
β
Frunk detail
β
Glass polish
β
Glass sealant
β
Gtechnic Smart Fabric roof sealant
β
Plastics resorted
β
CarPro Darkside tyre sealant
We tried giving it a hand polish but the damage in the paint was too much, so had to break out the Rupes LHR machine polisher, paired with a light cutting pad and Rupes yellow finishing polish. This combo helped to just cut enough to sort the damage marks in the paint, but retain most of the ceramic coating. We topped up the coating with a layer of ceramic based wax to keep that gloss and protection going.
13 hours traveling, 6 hour detail. 5am start, 2am return π
Obviously had to take Misha with me for a trip. She's now been to every UK country except N-Ireland
(don't get any ideas, I'm not getting on a boat..... π)
