This Mk7 Golf R came in with a coolant leak and due for a major service 👀

After diagnosing the issue, we traced the leak back to the water pump.

✅ Full major service completed
✅ Water pump replaced
✅ Stripped down and rebuilt properly
✅ Back on the road running as it should

Problems like coolant leaks are always best dealt with early before they turn into something much bigger.

This BMW M6 came in with a few concerning symptoms 👇

• Misfire from cold
• Coolant loss
• Smoke on cold start

No obvious fault codes… and live data looked normal.

This is where proper diagnostics comes in.

We carried out further testing, including a block test — and the fluid changed colour almost instantly, confirming combustion gases in the cooling system.

That points towards a head gasket issue or possible cylinder head damage.

Next step is a strip-down to confirm the full extent.

Not every problem shows up on a basic scan — this is why testing properly matters.

This Mk7 Golf R came in running rough with a slight hesitation when pulling away…

After scanning, we picked up a P0014B camshaft timing fault 👇

From there, it’s all about proper diagnostics:
– Checked live data
– Identified exhaust camshaft issue
– Inspected components

We found one camshaft adjuster had already been replaced previously — but not as a pair.

That mismatch can cause issues like this.

✅ Supplied and fitted updated camshaft adjusters (latest revision)
✅ Replaced both as a pair
✅ Fault resolved and running correctly again

This is why diagnosing properly matters — not just replacing parts blindly.
