Who said a diesel has to sound like a diesel? 👀🔊

This 2017 Mercedes C250 Cabriolet came in to have an iXSound active sound exhaust system fitted — giving it a much deeper, more aggressive soundtrack to match the look of the car.

It’s a great option if you want to transform the character of your diesel without having to turn the car into something it isn’t.

And judging by the wave on the way out… we think the owner was pretty happy with it. 👋😂

This is why preventative maintenance matters. 👀

Same part. Very different condition.

This MK5 VW Golf GTI came in for routine maintenance, where the cam follower was found to be worn right down — dangerously close to causing damage to the camshaft.

The problem with wear like this? You might not know it’s happening until the damage is already done.

Sometimes the fault code doesn’t tell you the whole story. 🔧

This BMW M6 came to us with a combination of symptoms — misfiring from cold, coolant loss and smoke from the exhaust on start-up.

An initial scan didn’t reveal an obvious cause, so this needed more than simply reading fault codes.

Further testing included a combustion leak/block test, which quickly indicated combustion gases were making their way into the cooling system — pointing towards a potential head gasket or cylinder-head issue.

This is exactly why proper diagnostics matter. Finding the cause of a problem before replacing parts can save a lot of time, money and guesswork.
