☀️HOLIDAY’S OVER… ALMOST! ☀️

The team have been enjoying a well-deserved break and will be back on the tools from Monday 15th June.

That being said, it seems you can take the mechanic away from the workshop… but you can’t stop him looking under the bonnet! 🤣

Even while on holiday in Turkey, he’s been spotted inspecting the engine of a buggy. Old habits die hard! 🚗

We’re looking forward to getting back to work and helping all of our customers again from Monday.

After working hard to keep our customers on the road, the team will be taking a well-earned break from Thursday 4th June until Thursday 11th June.

During this time, our toolboxes will be closed, the overalls will be off, and telephone calls will not be answered. 📵

Following our recent post, we’ve had to introduce some firm but necessary changes to how we operate.

Due to a recent incident where our business was left significantly out of pocket, we will no longer be accepting delayed or instalment payments under any circumstances.

🔧 Updated Payment & Work Policy:
• All work must now be paid in full before our mechanics leave the job
• Our mechanics have been instructed that they are not permitted to leave site until payment has been received and confirmed
• If there are any concerns or doubts about payment, our mechanics will immediately stop work
• In these situations, they will also remove any parts supplied by us before leaving

We want to remind everyone that we are a small independent business, and situations like this have a real impact on us. We have always worked hard to keep our prices fair, competitive, and affordable, especially for our loyal regular customers.

🚨 WARNING TO LOCAL MECHANICS – PLEASE READ 🚨

We’re sharing this to protect other businesses in the area.

We recently carried out a 2-day repair job on a white Mercedes C-Class (Reg: [OE16 TXK]) in Hemel Hempstead. The individual who requested the work provided a fake name and address. He even came out of the property on our arrival, but when the job was completed and payment was requested, he showed us a fake bank transfer receipt and claimed the payment was “processing”.

He then left saying he needed to collect his child and never returned.

When we knocked on the door of the address he had come from, we were told he does not live there and they have no idea who he is.

We are now £2,500 out of pocket for parts and labour. We have since learned that at least one other local mechanic has been targeted in the same way.

This incident has been reported to the Police as theft, and they are aware that the parts have not been paid for.

Please stay alert and avoid accepting work on this vehicle unless payment can be verified in advance.
We don’t want anyone else falling victim to this scam.
