What a rare beauty we had in Scotland yesterday. Our new friend Stewart had a rather unfortunate misunderstanding with a pheasant whilst en-route to Dover which resulted in an obliterated windscreen.

In need of the fastest service possible for this rare beast he contacted us and we organised a screen to be sent direct from the Morelo factory to us in East Kilbride.

Stewart drove down the night before, slept over and met our specialist installation team early yesterday morning. We set to work, doing what we do best and had him back on the road in plenty of time to get back on the road for his reorganised trip to Spain.

The Motorhome was treated well and pictures taken to show me how the vehicle was protected and on handover you would not know the screen had been changed, other than the cracks were gone.

I know this is our Motorhome page but honestly, this makes me so proud. In our bus business we started supporting Trent Barton with glass replacement services for their substantial bus fleet many years ago, each year they run a great internal awards evening for staff and we were asked if we would support. We sponsored ‘Apprentice of the year’ and Harry Burns was our first apprentice of the year winner.

Over the years we’ve seen Harry grow into a massively competent technician, through to workshop supervisor, these days he bullies me sometimes by email or text to chase a job and I love it every time he does, we’ve continued to look after him and have on occasion taken him a ping dinner curry to keep him going on those long shifts! 😂

He’s a bus industry rising star and no doubt a future engineering manager, chief engineer or engineering director.

Maybe even if you just wish you could shop at Waitrose every week, it would be good to hire!

You may think we have gone quiet in recent weeks and yes, our focus has been away from social media and creating a stunning new website complete with new booking system which will make getting the information you require and processing a booking easier than ever.

Our new reservation system now allows you to book for 2020 so if you are keen to get your luxury festival accommodation or summer holidays confirmed for next year I highly recommend that you book now. We only have one GlamperRV remaining for Glastonbury and other weekends such as the British Grand Prix, Latitude Festival and Le Mans Classic are going fast.

Whilst some of our customers are practiced festival goers I know that many of you are considering a first foray into the festival experience and keen to understand which to attend and how hiring a luxury motorhome can really make the weekend.

My husband smiles knowingly when I have a call from another happy customer parked up in a field checking that yes, their hair straighteners will work and that yes, they can charge their Bluetooth speakers, iPhones etc. A list of all the benefits would be a little bit dull but the point is, we understand what customers want from their festival accommodation so if it’s equipping our motorhomes with all the latest technology or providing practical solutions to filling your water tank whilst on site we are always one step ahead.

The vast array of festivals cover almost every passion and whilst 20 years ago festival was a term primarily related to music, it now appears to stand for any type of gathering be it food, theatre, classic cars, sport . . . . So where to start?

If you shop at Waitrose, enjoy craft beer and remember Kylie in Neighbours then there are a wide range of festivals that are a must – Latitude, Cornbury, Wilderness, Love Supreme are all extremely popular with GlamperRV customers and beautifully spaced out across the summer months giving you plenty of options.

I’ll put a stop to my terrible stereotyping right there otherwise I will probably lose you as a customer! For those however with more intellectual tastes then a trip to the Hay Literary Festival or even Edinburgh Festival create perfect opportunities to tag some culture onto a GlamperRV adventure.

If motorsport is more your thing than donning the glitter for the music festivals then Formula 1, Le Mans and Goodwood Revival are the big draws. Both in the UK and across mainland Europe customers have loved the comfort of their GlamperRV whilst attending these events. For the highly experienced Le Mans spectator (yes, Dave you know who you are!) the set up has been known to include TV projector and screen, mobile ice maker and chandelier!

Today we spent some time working with our friends at Glamper RV, they’d suffered some damage to one of their beautifully kept Burstner Motorhomes, wanting to keep it in tip top condition for it’s next hire they called us in to replace the screen quickly and to the high standard they expect!

It’s a very pleasing finish! If you want to hire a motorhome to either try before you buy or just for a cheeky luxury mini adventure, have a nosey through their website! Trust us, these vehicles are better equipped than a luxury hotel!

Today we had the pleasure of meeting the Regan family. They received the full VIP treatment with their gorgeous Classic Hymer being dropped off to our High Wycombe head office for a screen and gasket replacement, we took them to the nearest tube station so they could enjoy a day seeing the sights of London Town, and collected them again later on for them to continue their southern tour! It was a pleasure to meet you guys today, happy Hymering!
