Morning all and after an epic weekend on the Isle of Mull where everything was thrown at the competitors

There apparently was only one season over the weekend which was just rain and more rain

On the Friday night 135 crews started and at the end of the 3 legs and 15 stages only 87 crews were recorded as finishers

Out of the 6 cars with Coltness occupants best over the weekend were

10 th overall and 3rd in C5
Harry Stubbs in the navigators seat for Andy Woodward in a Renault Clio R3

14th overall and 3rd in C8
Chloe Fleming navigating for young Ollie Forrester in a Citroen C2R2 Max

27th overall and 4th in C3 Cameron Dunn navigating for Micheal Harbour in the Ford Es**rt MKll but for a puncture on leg 1 loosing over 5 minutes things may have been different

48 th overall and 4 th in C2
went to Fiona Moir again navigating for Cammy Williamson in a Subaru Impreza

64th overall and 3rd in H1 went to Brian Fraser and Gail Whyte in the Historic Hillman Avenger

Sadly not a weekend that Jess Jamieson will remember fondly sitting alongside Finn Thomasson, on the way to the start on Friday night the clutch cable snapped and Jess had to push the Citroen C2 over the start line to qualify as a starter to be allowed to start day 2 while they sourced a clutch cable, a clean run and the Saturday stages came to nothing when they went out on SS14 with gearbox issues on the Saturday night leg

Morning to a typically Wet Mull weekend, the annual pilgrimage to the Isle of Mull is upon us and the great and the good of tarmac rallying are already there

With 3 days of furious competition ahead with 135 miles over 3 days broken down to 5 stages Friday night starting at 19.00, 6 stages Saturday afternoon starting at 12.40 and the final leg of 4 stages on Saturday night starting at 21.15

A full entry of 133 cars start this evening with 6 cars carrying CCC competitors

On a side note don’t know if this is a secret ‘but’ !!!! it was much talked about at the club night on Monday 🏁 Carluke’s Joe Pringle has splashed the cash, after selling his quick wee Corsa to Team Moates early in the year,there had been much debate on a replacement and finally Pringle Haulage should debut their Ex KG Motorsport Peugeot 208 Rally4 before the end of the season ( well done fella)

And finally the long awaited date release for WRC Rally Scotland was announced along with the full 2027 Calendar so everyone will be Aberdeen bound the first weekend in October

Morning all, nearly October and another weekend of motorsport

Mixed bag of results for our guys on various events all over the place

Furthest first Adam Miller out again navigating for Graeme Barr on this year’s International Rally Whangarei in deepest New Zealand in the wee 2WD Suzuki Swift, the lads were plagued with an electrical issue that kept putting the car into limp mode and sadly on SS18 ( the last stage) the guys cried enough and called it a day on safety grounds

In Sardinia Team Topp George and Rosalind in their little SAAB were on the Sardegna Classic and after 5 days of intense competition on the mountainous regions of the Mediterranean Island they finished 18 th overall on what was a tough event especially for a little 1400 cc car with a dodgy gearbox

On the Emerald Isle in Co Cork Harry Stubbs navigating for Micheal McDaid in the newly acquired BMW M3 on this years MRF Cork 20, a bit of a learning process over the 2day event moving up from a Historic MK11 to this beast, but for their endeavours 3rd overall on the Historics and 1st in BMW Challenge was the prize

In Yorkshire on the Trackrod Forest Stages the Lees Boys were in the guts of it

Chris alongside Alex Vassallo in the Alan Causey Autosport prepared WildWater Seafoods Fiesta Rally 2 were at the sharp end all day but for an altercation with a big puddle that pulled them into a ditch loosing some valuable seconds,the pair must be delighted with their 3rd overall

Ewan again with Allan Dickson in the Sackmaker Skoda Fabia unfortunately while chasing in the pack in the mid 20s a costly puncture on SS 5 which they had to change so they had to settle for 45 th overall and 21 st in C1

Just finished a great practise session - track is a little cooler today but temps are looking to rise for qualifications and then back to scorching for the two races today.

Morning people to winter well almost

4 events this weekend in 4 countries with CCC participation

Start closest to home in Englandshire with The Trackrod Forest Stages based in Yorkshire with over 80 crews tackling 43 miles over some iconic stages

Chris Lees out again this weekend hoping to put last week’s n/f behind him is back with Alexander Vassallo in the WildWater Seafoods Fiesta Rally 2

Brother Ewan Lees once again is back in with Alan Dickson in the Sackmaker Skoda Fabia

Next we are in Co Cork in Southern Ireland for the MRF Cork 20 Rally with 14 stages over 2 days on the tar, Munster Car Club have put together a great looking event with 120 entries, based in Macroom and it all go

Cheshire’s Harry Stubbs is back in the navigators seat this weekend, after a successful return last week driving the families Mk2 Es**rt, he’s back in this week alongside Micheal McDaid from Co Fermanagh in a BMW M3 in C18

Meanwhile on the other side the world Sandford’s Adam Miller is out again on International Rally Whaharei a 2 day event with a total of almost 300 km over 18 stages, Adam sitting once again with local man Graeme Barr in a Suzuki Swift running at car 38 in a 40 plus entry

Last but not least George and Rosalind Topp in the wee SAAB start day 5 of 5 on the punishing Rally Sardegna Classic all will be revealed next week but seems to have been a lot of eating and drinking included

Morning to Monday folks not the best of weekends for a couple of our guys

But first the much awaited launch of next years WRC Rally of Scotland took place on Friday morning in Glasgow, with the great and the good in attendance After a few demonstration runs with WRC drivers Elfyn Evans and Josh McErlean VIP passengers were interviewed for the BBC who will be covering WRC rounds for the next 3 years
CCC were delighted to be asked to assist in the running of this and it went off without incident

Meanwhile there were 3 crews in Shrewsbury competing on this years Hills Ford Stages

Harry Stubbs back in the driving seat with Brian Stubbs navigating finished 30 th overall and 6 th in C5 in their Ford Es**rt MK11

Sadly Chris Lees navigating for Ian Forgan in the Fiesta Rally 2 were in a comfortable 4 th overall after day 1, on the first stage on Sunday SS5 they were caught out as were another 4 fiestas by a deep ford with water being sucked into the engine (rally over)

Cameron Fair navigating for Huw James in a rapid Fiat 131 after the 4 stages on Saturday they were within the top 10, on Sunday they were heading for a 2nd in class for the points Huw needed for a 2027 Chp win
But on a hard landing from a jump on SS9 all 4 brackets holding the diff cradle in the car broke ending their event

Best of luck to team Topp George and Rosalind Topp who after a massive trek to Sardinia in their SAAB start the 5 day Rally Sardegna this morning

Morning all a very early shout this 18 th day of September but needs must

After yesterdays decision to scrub the last round of this years WRC, all eyes turn to 2027 and today the great and the good from WRC promotions descend on Glasgow for the launch of next years WRC Rally of Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

With organisers and teams arriving yesterday for today’s launch and CCC again in attendance assisting with the running we will see what we will see
Hoping that the long awaited date will be announced and subsequently the 2027 calendar of rounds

Meanwhile in Shrewsbury it’s the Hills Ford Stages comprising of 2 day’s over 14 stages based around Weston Park with 4 stages there on Saturday and 5 stages ran twice on the Sunday on closed tarmac roads
With a very healthy 150 entries again CCC are in the midst of it with 3 cars competing with our guys onboard

After diff failure on their last outing Cameron Dunn sitting in with Huw James in the rapid Fiat 131 are chasing championship points in Class 3

2026 SRC Chp Navigator Chris Lees out again with Ian Forgan in the Mercury Motorsport Ltd Ford Fiesta Rally 2 in Class 1

Cheshire based Harry Stubbs changes seats on this event and is in the driving seat this time in a rebuilt Ford Es**rt Mk2 with Brian Stubbs along for the ride in Class 5

Further afield George and Rosalind Topp are on their travels again this incoming week it’s Rally Sardegna they are off to Sardinia running at car number 19 in their 1973 SAAB 96V4 on the same roads that will be used on what will now become the last round of the WRC in a few weeks time
With crews from all over Europe included in the 61 strong entry, with 5 days of competition starting Monday with over 30 regularities including night time stages ahead, this could be one of their toughest challenges to date

Morning Monday a busy weekend for the club

Well done to the CCC troops on the weekends La Crofterra Pandamonia ( see separate story thanks Stuart)

On the similar vane ( non competitive) well done to our own James McRae who was in Ireland over the weekend taking part in De Ja Vu County Down an annual charity event covering stages used on the Classic Circuit of Ireland of old, this year Jim was driving a Rothmans Replica Opel Manta owned by Limerick man Joey O’Shea

In Belgium the Leadburn Garage Ford Es**rt of Gregg Lithgow and Chloe Fleming were competing on the Ford Es**rt Rally Special asked for comment on the event and the reply was ( we came, we saw, we didn’t conquer)

In Wexford after 18 stages over 2 days of fast tarmac, but for a puncture loosing 10 minutes on day 1 Fiona Moir navigating for Cammy Williamson in their Subaru Impreza, a 3rd in class was on the cards, at the end up the guys were delighted with 51st overall and 4th in class

Further afield in deepest NZ Adam Miller sitting in with local lad Graeme Barr in a Suzuki Swift on the day/night gravelsprint didn’t have the best of events with an ECU issue causing them to complete a stage on limp mode
