With the clocks changing at the end of October, OSRAM is launching Bulb Check Week from 20-27 October. This campaign aims to remind drivers to check their headlights before nighttime driving becomes more frequent.

OSRAM’s Top Tips for Bulb Check Week:

Look for signs of wear: Check headlight bulbs for dimming, flickering, or any damage that might affect their performance.

The diesel particulate filter warning light is a common sight for many diesel vehicle owners. This light will illuminate when the DPF is heavily loaded or if there is a problem with the DPF system. The DPF is responsible for removing harmful particulate matter from the exhaust gases of a diesel engine, akin to a bag in a vacuum cleaner.
Common causes of the DPF warning light include a clogged filter, a failed sensor, or a problem with the diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) system. A clogged filter can be caused by a variety of factors, including short trip driving, which doesn’t allow the filter to reach the high temperatures needed to burn off the particulate matter. A failed sensor can also cause the light to illuminate, and this can be caused by a variety of factors, including a wiring problem or a problem with the sensor itself. A problem with the DEF system can also cause the DPF warning light to illuminate, and this can be caused by a variety of factors, including a low DEF level or a problem with the DEF injector.
We can diagnose and fix any issues and in most cases clean the DPF saving the expense of a new replacement DPF.
