Due to business growth, HMS Truck Centre are looking for another HGV Mechanic to join our team.

As a HGV Mechanic you are responsible for:

• Ensuring repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures and are to minimum MOT standard.
• Be confident in the fault diagnosis process.
• Be able to carry out HGV PMI Inspections on 7.5t to 44t vehicles, including trailers confidently and as per the DVSA manual .
• Confidently prepare vehicles for MOT.
• Road test vehicles when required (if holder of HGV licence).

• Previous experience as a HGV Mechanic is essential.
• Ideally have a formal qualification to NVQ level 3 or equivalent but time served is acceptable, if referenced.
• Must have own basic tools.
• Class 1 or 2 licence desirable but not essential.
• Be available for overtime should the business demand require you to do so.

Working hours are as follows:
Mon - Thurs: 0730-1700
Friday: 0700-1630
Sat/Sun: Closed

We are looking for an experienced HGV and commercial vehicle mechanic/fitter. Tachograph experience is desirable but not essential as we can provide full training for you to become a certified VOSA tachograph technician.
Diagnostic and brake testing experience is not essential as we can also provide full on the job training.
